Here we go again!!! Why in heavens name would anyone want to disassemble a hand crafted car that’s worth upwards of $100,000+ and used retail it for like no money?,, they built (honda) 10 Indy pace cars ( Accord bodies)that were no where near 200 mph machines,, and not available for sale to the public period,, the engines were built specifically for these cars and were worth in access of $50,000 each,, that would be like cutting up a Van Gogh to patch a hole in a painting done by a student in art school

Vespas need not be expensive. Buy used. About a year ago I bought a like new 2006 GT200 for $2200, with 1800 miles on it. It was literally in new condition even under the bottom. It came with a new color matched Vespa top box, a new Vespa windshield (which was too tall for me) a battery tender, and a new Cycle Gear jacket in my size (XXXL). I've had a lot of Japanese and Taiwanese scooters, and still have a 2009 Stella 2 stroke I bought new, and there is no comparison between those and a Vespa. I got the '06 because it has a carburetor. I stay far away from EFI. I have some motorcycles too, but since nearly losing my right leg during Desert Storm 30 years ago, I find it difficult to get on and off motorcycles. I mostly ride an '06 (carbureted) Harley Sportster 1200 Low when not riding a scooter. It's still possible to get my leg over the seat of that without too much trouble. Not sure this will work for you, but I know a dude who rides with horrible right hip problems: he mounts it like a horse. That is: on the side stand in gear, good foot on the left peg, hands on the bars (I think he holds the front brake when he does this), stand on the peg, swing his bad leg over. Reverse procedure to get off. He's tall, but also rides a very high bike (Super Tenere). That's how I get on my dr 350,,like a horse,,,I got tired of replacing left rear directionals
