Even though... i have only put about 500 miles on this gear oil... i normally change fluids every 500 miles cause im freakishly ocd about having my scooter have high quality clean fluids running through it.

Could be a number of things from a belt with bad cords to a clutch issue or possibly a sticky variator with a flipped roller but it is a problem that needs to be investigated. It could even be a defective bearing in the final drive. What's the gear oil level like? Sure its not pinging and rattling from using too low a grade of fuel? I only use premium at the pump, necer used anything else. And i make sure my wife uses it.... im sure she wouldent be going behind my back about it since i fix and maintain the scoots. Ill check in tomorrow after i investigate it, ill check for markingson the inside if the belt case, im just hoping its a crappy belt...

Hey gang, back once again to keep yall updated, my pcx cracked a radiator hose... so a small amout of air got into the system after enough leakage happened, so its in the shop (nothing major, and its uncommon to happeb this early, so no charge with my coverage)
What i am really here for, is my wifes Baccio Bro 150cc. I have been using it for a few days now (seeing that the pcx is in the shop) and their is a noise, that i believe is coming from the cvt case, and i believe its the belt thats the culprit, so let me give you the exact scenario.
I drive like an old man, only gunning it and going fulk throttle when needed to avoid stuff and get aroubd something in a hurry, i know that it puts some stress on the motor and the whoke scoot. So i got on my wifes scoot, it has 1560 km on the ODOMETER so its relatively new.
I was first in line at a red light and being in the left lane, i wanted to gun it, get in front of traffic and move over to the right lane, as to be polite to the people who speed (and to just be safe for my sake) so i gunned it and a rattle and clack happened the whole time i accelerated up untill i got to crusing speed and let off the throttle, that has not happened on my pcx... so i was puzzled, and went to a empty side street to investigate. When i accelerate slowly, no noiselike that occurs, but when i gun it, it rattles a bit and goes away.
I am aware that some scooters do thi, as the belt stretches or vibrates from spinning so fast, but i want to know, do yall think my belt is too loose? Is it not the belt? And if it is the belt... its almost brand new, so are their higher quality, tighter belts i can get? Or is it nothing to worry about and normal for chinese scoots???
Thanks for the long read, i would really appreciate some insight.
Will open my belt caseto investigate when i wake up tomorrow, seeing as it is 12:30 at the moment at night...
Thanks

Nice video! It's good to see a genuine trip of some distance on a 150. And in "cool" weather too!Personally I know nothing about the Honda PCX 150, but have heard a lot of good things about them. I imagine they have considerably more speed and road-capability than the typical "generic" 150's. It would be good if you could give a brief post on the capabilities of the PCX... Sort of a "road test write-up".Could be, it is the scooter many might "upgrade" to from the typical Chinese 150. I know they are considerably more costly than the Chinese scoots, but Honda quality is tops. What I'm wondering is how much more performance it offers. You seem to be able to run with most traffic, and that is not usually the case with lower-end 150's. A number of members might opt for a scoot like yours in lieu of a used 250 if it would meet their needs... Enquiring minds want to know... LOL! It would also be interesting for you to compare your PCX 150 with your Piaggio BV 250. The Italian scoots seem MUCH faster than their Asian counterparts. It would be most interesting to compare a high-performance Japanese 150 with a VERY high-performance Italian 250. I haven't enjoyed much riding for a couple of weeks... Seems sunny, warm Dallas Texas has gotten some of your weather! 25 to 40-degrees and rain, with 40-mph winds. EEWWW! Should warm up to 70 tomorrow, so I'll dig the old mouse out from under the tarps. My feral-cat friends will have to move off the scoot's floor, and go under my soggy trailer-house for an afternoon... LOL! Ah, it's tough to be a cat... HeHeHe!
Keep up the swell vids!Leo in Texas They are just amazing when it comes to long rides or sitting in the seat for a while...they really dont mess around when they advertise that its as snuggle bugg worthy as your couch at home, tge seat was a tad stiff when i first bought it... but now its just jelly for my buns, ive riddwn up state road 441 up to north palm beach, almost a hour and a half ride... no complaints, i just wish they made a 400cc version of the forza. I would not spend all that money for a 250, if i get anything bigger, im gonna get a yamaha for burg... but im not a fan of the burgmans look.... they ride nice... but the pcx and honda look has made me a big honda supporter... also the dealer i bought kine at has some very nice, honest and highly qualified mechanics (even though, ive only brought it in once when i was too lazy to change my fluids/ checkup). All in all, a strong contender in the 150 world... everyone knows pcx

Yeah, there ARE a LOT of sweet buys out there that don't cost $10-grand... even a LOT under... ESPECIALLY around Christmas! Wives do NOT want hubby's mind on buying a bike when she wants him concentrating on the family getting together. And even budget-minded buyers have their minds on everything but bikes as the riding season freezes over for months. GREAT time to shop and buy though! I bought old Minnie Mouse in mid-December 3 years back! Mrsunsett... I think I'd try for that TMAX if it's your dream bike! The seller might be pretty negotiable right now... Ride safe! I just wish i had 3 grand lying around..... i could flip my pcx for 2 grand and take out a bunch of savings.... but its not a fiscally smart move at the moment..... it just hurta cause i know how pricey they are new...

FL is tougher than KS. Here, as long as the lights themselves aren't visible, then there isn't an issue. Once saw a white minivan with purple lights so perfectly angled that you couldn't see them but they reflected off the street to make the bottom half of the doors glow purple. Looked light some spook-van going down the road. Hm. "Ground effects lighting," huh? So what if it's frame effects lighting, then? Is that ok? (see what happens when you start over-regulating silly stuff?) >'Kat, still thinking mrsunsett should just swap out that blue for pretty pink and go cruisin'. Say, you could add some axel bouncers and air-struts. Man wouldn't you be just the thing then?! I ride around with my leds (that are changeable with the switch i installed) on pink when my wife is riding second in command on the back seat. The glow on the white paint of the pcx is always fun. No matter what color. Orange, green, white, pink, purple, teal.. all great glow effects on the paint. But white glows best, and the cops i have talked with when i getting ready to pull out of a parking spot at night (believe me, they always come talk when they see the lights come on) they always are strong proponents of it, from a visibility standpoint, they have no issues with something making you more visible as long as its not flashing.. or red/ blue. They always tell me to go bring it up and vity council hearings, to try and change the specifics of the law so it states what colors are legal and what are okay to ride with.

Pinned. Florida HollyHOOD representing the stolen scooter capital of the states LOL to be honest, i spent more on my locks than i dis on my bikes.... JCL MP250A Lihai 257cc powered / I hate to admit it , But when I was a little Scum Bag thief I stole my share of small motorcycles and mopeds in Hollywood, FL. in the early mid 70s. The cops ended my thieving career when I stole a new Motobecane moped from the front of the Publix on the band shell circle. I forget what the official name of the circle was. But anyway, I got safely home with it . But I was so excited to ride it that I could'nt help myself ! An hour later I was riding down the street on that little gem like a little dumb when the very same Cop that just wrote the stolen vehicle report at the seen saw me tooling about on it. Hey, It was 3-4 miles away in a fairly big town. I thought I was safe. lol Well, The rest is history like my poor choices of a latch key kid of the 70s thank God. BTW , There was a fresh ounce of weed that the owner had in the little saddle bag that I had'nt a clue was there yet that didn't help matters for me one bit when the cop found it ! LOL Crime Doesnt pay, You Dumb Dumbs that steal peoples things that are not yours ! Thank God this didn't happen in today's unforgiving world. They probably would give me life. Or I would have been getting out of prison about now. LOL. Sall good man. We learn in our own ways. Before i got a car or scooter... i was a notorious bike thief. Lived in a rich neighborhood with care free rich hites and rich hispanics... so yeah i know what you mean

My friends looking for a scooter, one of his co workers offered to sell him his scoot... its a DLX 50cc. Now i am gonna go check it out with him tomorrow cause he has never bought a scooter, ridden plenty.. but never made a decision to take care of one and buy it, a used one at that.
So the co worker wants 250 for it, i immediately am thinking its full of problems, but my friend said he drove it, and says it drives fine... the only issue is it stalls if you dont keep the throttle open (so you cant idle on it without it shuttkng off)
Im think of looking at it, taking pics and reposting more info... but what do yall think? New carb required?? Or just a re jet... or something simple like a kinked hose? Also i have never heard of DLX scooters.
Any shots in the dark??
