Hey everyone,
1st off if your here thank you for my SOS thread. I just bought a 2015 typhoon(Its on powerrideoutlet) Back in March, Every thing Has Run Great up until a few weeks ago. Just for some info I did change the CDI to a High performance rancing CDI(No ReV Lim,Also replaced the coin and spark plug' Runs great other thn as I said The past few weeks The battery will not Hold a Charge, Which I know they send crappy Batteries out from these type places, When I 1st got my scoot I could press the button and she would start right up! NO ISSUE! Now It still starts but it turns over slowly a few times before starting up. I have charge it overnight on a trickle charger and It cranks RIGHT UP and when I go to the store after riding it 10min or so it will also then crank right Up. But after taking the charger OFF and leaving it sitting a day or 2 It reverts back to the issue above. I dont have a Volt meter to test the Battery But I am assuming since I charge it then take the charger off hours later its back to having a hard time starting(turning over to crank).
MY Lights and all are fine and Bright as can be when its running. IS it safe in you guys who are more experienced to say It is In fact a DUD battery from PRO. I purchased a 150cc pro eagle from them year before and I had it almost a YEAR with the battery they sent me and no issues..
Can you guys PLEASE recommend a Good Battery to me? again Its a 150CC GY6 and I have a High performance CDI in it(not the well known orange racing kind u see, but a different kind)
I was Looking at a few batteries on AMAZON 1 is A
'YTX7A-BS GEL 12V 6AH Battery for Star 50cc Moped Scooter - Mighty Max Battery brand' Looks pretty good. 'YTX7A-BS GEL is a 12V 6AH 105 Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) GEL (Maintenance Free) Battery'
What do you guys think?
Then the Other is 'YTX9-BS Battery Replacement for ATV KYMCO MXU150 150CC All Years - Mighty Max Battery brand' It has "YTX9-BS is a 12V 8AH 135 Cold Cranking Amps (CCA)" I was thinking the xtra 8AH may give it better or more to it?
Are either one of these worth getting for a 150cc GY6 scooter? If their is another brand that is better please PLEASE let me know your thoughts, Btw Let me know if you think it is indeed a Bad BAT.
Lastly I forgot about this other Battery I ran across, What do you think>? They can all be seen on amazon. 'YTX7A-BS High Performance Power Sports Battery' Thanks Big time!

On my scooter's which 1 is a 50cc, the other I had before wrecking it was a 150cc and after the 1st oil change i always used synthetic oil from then on, I never had any issues and the bike ran great!! I had a performance spark plug, a CDI NO REV LIMIT, changed normal battery that came with it from place i bought it online, which was pro ride outlet. As I said it ran great! for the year I had it til i wrecked and destroyed it! I have had my 50cc for over 3years Its a TAOTAO also still runs great!
I just bought a NEW 150CC typhon (Thats the name of it on the site) or MCR-137-150 So im still breaking that in. Only thing I have done is changed the CDI on it to a CDI NO REV LIMIT as well..
I have read mixed reviews about using synthetic oil, What's every one's thoughts here?
Personally it has been No issue for me and all 3 bikes r Chinese the 2 150cc have the clone GY6 in them.

WOOW bro!! Your scooter is FAST!!
What size is it? im guessing a 150cc? its for sure holding its own!!
What all have u done to it?
Ive got 2 scooters, Use to have 3 but i wrecked one and it was no fixing unless i got a new frame and all kinda other stuff.
Right now I have a 150cc typhon thats what the site calls it i bought it from. or MCR-137-150
Also have a 50cc taotao VIP future champion.
I had a 150cc pro eagle(wrecked one) Just got my new scoot few days ago. Im still breaking her in.
Already changed the cdi to a CDI NO REV LIMIT, then whn comes time for 1st oil change I have always used synthetic oil in all my scoots, and the best gas possible and never have had a problem they run great.
Any tips on some other stuff i can do to get some more take off power and top end speed? Been riding 4 years on scoots.

Hey everyone,
I have bought 2 150cc scooters from Power ride outlet, The 1st one i bought was in 2014 and it was the one they call the PRO EAGLE 150CC, I had no issues at all with them when purchasing. That Bike came Fast from Cali to S.C. Only issue when the bike arrived was the right rear view mirror was broken and they sent me a replacement by usps priority within a week.
I just recently Bought a scooter from them again, I have it as my profile PIC. This time they were a little more annoying to deal with as far ar getting straight answers, after i made my 2nd payment, when logging into my account it would never reflect that I had made any payments except for the first 1, which annoyed me it was not reflecting, I wasnt worried though cause they always sent emails soon as they ran my card saying the amount paid and how much I had left.
Besides that I just got my Scooter on the 10th of this Month, the freight currier they used was roadrunner and it wasnt expected to be deliverd til 3/14/2016 so it came really fast. But took over a week to ship (they claim 24-72hrs) Luckily it came in perfect condition. It fired right up soon as i realized it had to have the Kick stand up, Non of my other scooters ever had that.
But I have read terrible reviews about them!! from BBB, google, even on youtube. This new one is called the 150cc typhon, And it was built in late 2015 so its a brand new bike, I already changed out the CDI that came with it and Put in a CDI NO REV limit like I had on my Pro Eagle 150cc i got from them.
I think its honestly a 50/50 chance when it comes to Power ride it seems. I have gone back to the site each time and wrote reviews on both bikes I have bought from them.
