Yes, the -B case thing is confusing in the GY6 world. It is not a gy6-200 and there is no such thing as a type 3, it's what we call a BN-150. Your's is made by Xingue by looking at your VIN number. It's a pretty decent quality factory. They were originally made by BengNang. The BN head is taller than the standard GY6 head and the two outer bolts are in different positions. We carry all parts for that. Most are in stock. If you don't see what you are looking for, call Kenny at 702-689-6035. Be sure and have some measurements on hand to double check compatibility before you order. www.scrappydogscooters.com/GY6-B_16__wheel_BN157QMJ.htmlchinesescooterparts.com/product-category/gy6-b-16-wheel-bn157qmj/I need the head for the 2 bolt valve cover. I know that for sure.

Besides the head I'm in need of the floorboard and the belly pan. Anyone have this scoot? Any advice that wasn't covered in the posts from 7 years ago? Anyone know who bluefront was? He lived in my area and was the guru when it came to the xingyue 150 Unfortunately I heard he may have passed away. Thanks for listening

Hi folks I'm Mark from St. Louis. You may know me from the scooter doc forum of Brent's 49cc scoot forum. I've recently aquired a 150cc scooter and I have some questions. It's a gy6b scooter with the 2 bolt valve cover. It's missing the head. I called scrappy and I think I know what I'm getting, but I'm not 100%. From what I've found in researching this bike (most info was found in the now defunct scootdawg forum) this case is considered a gy6 200 b type 3 - or something like that. It's air cooled with 16 inch wheels. The guy I got it from said he got it from some old guy who didn't want it because it didn't work. He said it was a cam chain problem but I'm not sure. I suspect a cam chain guide broke causing a tension problem and screwing up a valve, hence the need for a new head. I haven't seen the cam chain guide in the box of parts he gave me so I think I need that too. Will a normal 150cc guide work? If the main difference between a regular gy6 and gy6b is the stud spacing the chin guide should be the same, right? I'll post some pictures in a moment

I wear an open face helmet. I could use eye protection but I don't like full face helmets. Are there goggles that work with glasses that don't look ridiculous?

I don't get why people think these are junk. I've had people at a shop that deals with mostly buddy scooters and royal enfield motorcycles tell me that they are impossible to get parts for. Even going as far as telling me "I'm pretty much screwed" if I buy one.
Not only are parts abundant and inexpensive, Anyone with an Internet connection and a few hand tools can fix anything that goes wrong.
Still....it's kinda ugly.

Math was never my strong suit. I try to avoid helping my kids with their math homework because then they will know the truth....Dad isn't perfect. We can't let that happen.
So anyway my chinometer is like 15mph off But the app I used said I was going 41. It has great low end which for city driving I feel is more important than top end. ( my moped was slooooow taking off from stop signs) I was gonna futz with the weights but I may be good as is

Straight road.
Different carb but that's it.
Taotao 50
It is a 1p39qmb however I do not see the marking that tells me it's a secret 63. It's a 2013, it my understanding that the secret 63s were only in 07-08.
If it is a bigger displacement, I take back my enthusiasm and replace it with mild satisfaction
And wouldn't that be 3 questions?

Woo hoo. 41mph on a 50cc with a fat guy on it!
This may or may not be impressive but I didn't think it would go that fast. My previous riding experience was on an 86 razz in college that crawled but was pretty much just for beer runs, a Puch Maxi that went maybe 28mph and motorized bike that would have killed me if I went over 20.
Viva China!

I took the cover off, nothing loose in there. Put it back on and took it for a run around the block and it was fine. Well, I guess I just need to ride some more and see if I hear it again

Sounds like your starter Bendix is not fully retracted, and is bouncing on the drive face gear teeth. What would be a solition for that?
