I took a quick look at the engine today and I noticed the xingyue logo on the head. So that's something

I'm not that old but I was on both Mr. Patches and Corky the Clown in St. Louis. I still remember being fascinated by the studios. I assume that has something to do with the career I chose (I am a news broadcast director at a local TV stations)

On my scoot The disc is on the left. It's supposed to be an improvement so the heat from the pipe won't damage the disc.

For those of you who haven't been following along, I recently underestemated how weird Chinese scooters can be, especially in the B case world. I got this engine from my local scoot shop. It's been sitting around his shop and he was glad to be rid of it Maybe it will work for my scoot, maybe not. It isn't a direct bolt on due to the fact my scoot has a disc brake and this has a drum. But if the head fits, I'm better off than I have been. One delemmia is that my scoot is an xy157qmj-3 and this engine is LB1P57QMJ However they are both 2 bolt valve cover heads so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will all match up. I have learned from experience that even though MOST of the time the engine numbers are pretty good clue to what parts it is made up of, that isn't always the case. As in this case....as in B case.

And mayor McCheese does NOTHING for the people of Mcdonaldland. Plus, I think Big Mac is on the take.

Does anyone have experience with the xingyue ita 150? I am at my wits end here. I cannot find the right head for this. It's engine number is xy157qmj-3 I've tried 2 heads from scrappy. One fit bolt wise but the rocker arm assembly didn't fit. The standard b case heads bolts dont line up. Nobody else seems to have anything near what I need. Is it a lost cause? I'm exhausted from looking. I suppose I could buy a new engine but there may be electrical conflicts (I think I have a DC system). I don't have the original head to compare it to so I'm poking around in the dark pretty much. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Next time you are in St. Louis I'll buy you a beer.

Not to nitpick but he wasn't Grampa Munster. He was Lilly's father, not Herman's. His last name was Dracula. But what the heck do I know, I voted for Fester.

I returned the parts. My local shop has a 2 bolt LB1P57QMJ engine that I'm looking into. I'll only be needing the head so I can sell the other parts.

ok....here we go. stay with me on this I planned on returning the head I bought and got another one from scrappy. Also a gy6b. sold specifically for 16 inch wheel scooters. It didn't have the 2 bold cover so I just got a new cover. The rocker arms fit fine but the holes don't line up. The stud holes are ok but the ones off to the side don't match. Looking at the head I first purchased everything lines up. So I wonder are the Valves too long on the head in the first post?

Well if it isn't confusing enough already: I ordered a different head from Scrappy and that one is incorrect too. Those poor folks there are gonna ban me for life fir being such a PITA coustomer. They have been more than helpful and are the only ones I know that have anything near the parts I need.
More info to follow including a video to show you all what I'm up against.

Not really a resolution but early January 2016 I traded some stuff for my first scooter. It was missing stuff, kind of banged up but it was something to tinker with. I got it running, kitted it, broke it and put a new engine on it, painted it and rode the holy snot out of it. Almost exactly one year later I brought home another non running scoot with missing parts that I hope to have on the street soon.
Now if my resolution was to spend my weekends bringing the dead back to life, I'd be 2 for 2

No it is not. It's the one that came with the bike. I pretty sure I ordered the wrong thing. I was hung up on the 2 bolt valve cover assuming any head for a 2 bolt cover would be the correct one. I was wrong. Scrappy, as always, took care of me and pointed me in the right direction.
