I have a question...I am looking at buying a 250 cc scooter...was offered one that has 10,000 miles on it....I am not sure of it's year yet...But am wondering if it is worth what the man is asking for it...He says it runs good, great on gas , has new tires..It is a JCL MP 250 A scooter

Ok Heavier weights, like how heavy? Will it also bring my gas mileage back up?? I am not even sure of the size weights that are in the variator now...I bought it on ebay and have since written to the seller asking him if he knew what size rollers come with the variator...

Ok I am not to bright on the roller weights...the belt wasn't really wore much between to 20 mm and 19 mm, new belt that I had a scooter mech put on 2.5 months ago..I was thinking things over and seemed my rpm ran between 5 and 6000 rpm at 50 to 55... now running up to dern near 8000 rpm...Also after taking it for a good run today without a doubt I have lost some gas mileage...I could drive 80 miles and be 2 notches from empty today 75 miles and right on empty..checked again on way home from full stopped at 49 miles put in .945 of a gallon...yeh something not rite...

Thanks everyone, was finally able to get belt on after taking faceplate off variator and with extra stronger hands....Question though my scooter now doesn't seem like it has the take off it once did and the rpm's seem to run higher to get desired speed out of it..I could be worng but seems like when I would get scooter up to 50 to 55 per my scooter speedometer reading the rpms would run somewhere around 6000, now I am seeing around 7000 to 7500...What could cause this??

A woman stopped by, unannounced, at her son's house. She knocked on the door then immediately walked in. She was shocked to see her daughter-in-law lying on the couch, totally naked. Soft music was playing, and the aroma of perfume filled the room. "What are you doing?!" she asked. "I'm waiting for Mike to come home from work," the daughter-in- law answered. "But you're naked!" the mother-in-law exclaimed. "This is my love dress," the daughter-in-law explained. "Love dress? But you're naked!" "Mike loves me and wants me to wear this dress," she explained." It excites him to no end. Every time he sees me in this dress, he instantly becomes romantic and ravages me for hours on end. He can't get enough of me" The mother-in-law left. When she got home, she undressed, showered, put on her best perfume, dimmed the lights, put on a romantic CD, and lay on the couch, waiting for her husband to arrive. Finally, her husband came home. He walked in and saw her lying there so provocatively. "What are you doing?" he asked. "This is my love dress," she whispered sensually. "Needs ironing," he said. "What's for dinner?

I put on new vaariator, and clutch, applied lock tight and torqued both clutch and variator nut to 42 ft lbs...I watched to video on youtube on replacing the belt..Sad to say but my because of carpal tunnel in both hands (wrists (whatever) ) I cannot get the pulley half to come open for me to put the belt on...So now what?? Someone suggested to me to use an 8" gear puller to bring the clutch half in...I don't know at whits end and hands hurting a lot at this point...

Ok ordered a clutch of ebay through a US seller,,, guess would be stock clutch also ordered new variator, why the variator, well trying to get nut off I broke the fins..Why in the hel are these nuts hard to get off, the one on the clutch I had to use a nut splitter and small chisel to get it off now this one on the stator doesn't want to come off..I haven't rounded the nuts edges off for trying but just cant get it to budge...What now sure am leary about taking the nut splitter and chisel to this nut for fear of damage to crankshaft or motor casing..

Put new belt on last month, been running for gear oil 75w90 synthetic...changed grease 2 days ago using 80w90..Today while riding I would be at a steady speed and my rpm would jump up and you could hear a whining type sound...What could be happening to cause this?
