My 150 wolf blaze weighs 240. Compared to a 49cc its 40 lbs heavier but At 50 mph the weight adds to stability , at least it feels that way. The 12" wheels help too, like when you hit a bump or pothole

Delivered my Kymco People 300i to my home 100 miles away for free. Once delivered there was a problem with the front fork. They trucked it back to their shop and brought it back to me the same day with the issue resolved. Hats off to this shop.

Bought a Bintelli 49 in July, put a 72 cc kit but still had problems going up hill and riding on roads with 35 mph speed limits which car drivers drive 45. Even with my 45 mph top speed downhill the 10 inch wheels that made it so nimble at low speeds and its 170 pound weight made it pretty nervous as it was designed for a lower top speed. Sold it and bought a 150 Wolf. 12 inch wheels, 40 pounds heavier and 55 mph makes it ideal in town. Chinese scooters are simple, easy to do basic maintenance, and if you buy the right brands, like I did, have local dealer support. Still have the 150 Wolf but got a great deal on a Kymco People 300 which is water cooled, very powerful, top speed of mph and twice as heavy as the Bintelli and 100 pounds heavier than the 150. The Kymcos 16 inch wheels make it stable but no more nimble than a 300 Ninja. Luckily I paid $3400 for a leftover and Scooternerds delivered it to me even though I live 100 miles away. Luckily I can afford 2 scooters. My 900 Triumph Scramblet is for sale. May buy another motorcycle but for now scooters give me the most grins per mile and per dollar. Yeah my first bike was a Honda Step thru 50 I bought used in 1965, 49cc 3 speed automatic clutch. Just keep scooting!

Oil Change?

Full synthetic oil once a year, anything else change it if have let it sit and not run it for at least 20 minutes in the past 3 months. Read this in some motorcycle rag.

I think range and lack of charging stations make them for short commutes only. I wonder how heavy they are, most electric motorcycles are pretty heavy for the performance you get. Price and dealer service as well as aftermarket replacement parts might make them like Tesla, for the wealthy in major cities. The hybrid idea like Spandi mentions makes sense but give me at least 49 cc engine

Why would anyone use oil recommended for a low rpm Diesel engine in a high rpm scooter when no manufacturer recommends it? Think about it

Use a full synthetic 10w40. You can change it less often and it will provide the best protection. You don't need a motorcycle oil as you have a CVT transmission. A full synthetic offers more protection from the minute you start the engine up to maximum rpm. It should be good for at least 2000 km.

I. drilled the cap off that covers the mixture screw on the 150's mixture screw and turned out 3 turns so now the Chinese scooter runs fine after a short warm up in cool weather. Will be looking for a windshield for the Kymco. May try Puig as I've had some luck with that brand.

Maybe the 300 Kymco people should be marketed as the Geezer Express

It looks like a SYM. Retro look might appeal to some but it will cost more than a Honda CB300 naked and be slower. They need to do a 300 fuel injected scooter and maybe a maxi scooter later. Or just stay with their current line up as they are all great. They also need dealers who don't charge $400 for prep and who will discount a little instead of this is the price, take it or leave it, almost bought a Buddy50 but $2500 plus tax and tags is not competitive. Genuine buys from PGO then sells to dealers then to us. Wish PGO did their own US network, cut out the middleman in Chicago, and passed the saving to the retail buyer. Kind of like Kymco.

Fuel injection beats cv carbs hands down in 50 degree weather. The Wolf takes about 10 minutes until it runs right. The Kymco runs perfectly after a 2 minute warm up n the driveway. Love them both and thank God my wife is so good about my obsession with 2 wheels. It helps that it gets me out of the house and happy!

Got the 300 and loving it. Water cooled, 4 valve head and fuel injection. Keeping my Wolf blaze 150 too.

Just got a Kymco People 300i. This is my third scooter, first was a 49, second a 150, now a 300. Consider me hooked. All since this July.
