So i test drove the 'burg. dang that is one nice scoot. plenty of power...80 on the freeway was a piece of cake. But my ol lady has a point. What am i going to do with two scoots? She refuses to ride after my accident last year. and as much as i would love getting a highway scoot. the missus put the brakes on anything larger than 100cc. Saddening....really. But hey, I cant take my dog on a burg. but I can on my tgb.

Thats exactly it. The dealers all have told me they drop ship from the manufacturer. But thats because almost nobody has a morini, unless its an aprillia sr50 which is different from mine.

Scrappy is going to call tgb for me too to get some other stuff for my delivery. Like the heated bag (that is impossible to find they qit importing tgbs awhile ago I read) and the two basket racks that go up front. I love scrappy they know their scnitzel and are always helpful.

I had a great chat with scooter dynasty today. They have me torn on variator options. Its a malossi naraku or polini but the shop does not know the sizes of the variators. I want the largest possible because of the lack of an upgear kit. I ordered a 21mm dellorto phbg black racing edition today, as well as a technigas pipe that I will probably have to mod to fit the delivery, and a malossi mhr replica 72cc bbk. That last one can make 10hp...supposedly and cost an arm and a leg to boot. Heck I just spent more than the scoot cost me. This transmission is the hardest part. I saw a youtube of mrp pulling almost 80mph out of a tgb morini. It gives me hope....lol. that im not totally screwed with my dreams of 60mph.

Thanks alley, scrappy is who I always check first. They do not carry a morini vari though, just the minerelli. They do have a bbk but im pretty sure im going to get a malossi, polini, stage six, or autotech bbk in that order. But I am going to squeeze as much juice as possible from the trans, carb, and exhaust before I jump on a bbk. It worked well this way for my last scoot. It seems that most of the support for this motor is from the big expensive brands. Parts availability is the biggest hurdle on this engine. If it only were a minerelli...

Who makes variators for the morini motored 2stroke scoots? I have only found a malossi overrange but no specs for it. Im trying to find the largest vari possible because there are no upgear kits avalable for the morini's.

I had an issue similar to this on my last sunny. I found that when the front shocks compress, the front tire would contact the frame because the forks and triple tree were flexing too much...I fixed it a little by tightening the headset.

And, rockynv, it has 5900 miles, and I have a 1" thick folder of maintenance records from 2005 till now. It always been serviced by the nicest power sports place in town. The scoot shops told me they won't go near it and don't bring it by their shop.?! It's spotless. Not a scratch on it. Owned by an old lady...no joke.

It wasn't lean. The float was so out of adjustment it wasn't delivering ANY fuel off idle. I'm liking the 2 stroke sound but my last 4 stroke slayed this thing stock, especially after the stroker and bbk. I'm getting 38 mph tops but can pull the worst hills at 32. I'm a bit afraid to mod because I have not identified the motor yet. Most places call it a 1e40qmb minerelli, but a few tgb specific sites say it's a 1e41qmb morini. I'd hate to order the wrong parts. Pics:
