at first they lit up and then after a test ride they blow/don't work anymore. I did it with the low beam and then the high beam, and the light uses a 12V 55/60W H4 bulb

So my 150cc gy6 scoot won't start with the electric start button, u have to jump the solenoid terminals to get it to start, how do I tell if the ignition or start switch aren't working properly?

Mine is a ruckus like custom build, it has a head light, front turn signals, a vaypor Speedo, and a turtlehead tail light(an led bar with running light, brake light and signals) that's all the lights. The reason I mention the headlight is we always have to have it on as a running light, but it turns off if I get the tail light to work properly(both tailight and running light working).........on the other side if I make the headlight work, the tail light running light will not work, however the brake light and signals still do work.
The reason I mentioned the ignition wire was simply to test if the running light does actually work and it is not burnt out or shorted out.....that test eliminates those possibilities

Ok that's what I thought right, simple. Nope. I have a tester like that and even a powered one, but the running light wire has power going to it, but doesn't work when connected properly. I know that the light can operate both its running light and brake light at the same time. That is confirmed. I took the running light wire of the brake light and wired it to the black ignition wire and it turns on, both running and brake light. The problem is then the headlight running light won't come on. So the tail light running/brake both work, just not at the same time as the headlight. Us crazy loop where everything is grounded and everything has power even the running light but still doesn't workwith the headlight running light on
