Thanks guys. I saw a few tutorials on YouTube that had it between tank and petcock so I was worried. Now I am cool. If there is one lurking up in there I can't see it. Not worth taking all the hind end apart....
Now to see if I can access the float bowl drain to see if there is any residual gas in the bottom of the carb....

2007 Jonway YY150T-28 with 6 miles on it. This was stored in a climate controlled building and never used. Someone was thinking and the fuel line was not connected and carbs dry. No rot on anything, fuel and air lines all good. Kenda brand 13 inch tires both look like new. Just dusty from sitting. No paint flaws or broken parts. Drained about 1/8th of a gallon of gas from fuel tank. Removed old battery and snapped off the terminal from corrosion rot, cleaned terminal wire and ordered new AGM. Bought new fuel filter to put fuel line back together. checking crankcase oil, gear oil, and variation belt tonight before trying the first startup! Not bad for $500.00 click image for bigger view....Vince

Hi guys. I discovered my bike was stored with a disconnected fuel line, which meant the carb is empty and clean. However the fuel line was disconnected between the carb and the vacuum operated sending unit whatever it's called. I found the fuel filter in the under seat bucket. Each end of the fuel line has the little clamps so I am pretty sure that's where the fuel filter WAS. My question is shouldnt the fuel filter be placed in the line right after the fuel tank and not just before the carb? Could there be another one lurking under the plastic covering the tank? There is no issue with having two is there?
Thanks!
Vince

Not tried anything yet. Paint remover would ruin the finish and I am just trying to remove the graphic only.

I was wondering if there was someone that has removed the graphics from their plastic and could tell me the method? As you can see, there is something written that looks like "Whila" ? on the front and both sides in the rear. I would like to remove it! ( At least the front one for sure, could live with the rear ) Vince

Is there re-jetting involved when you do this? Or does it go right back on and run it?

Hoses all look good. Fuel line was disconnected so carb is pristine and clean. Drained out old residual fuel from tank and flushed with fresh gas. Found an inline filter in the bucket but will get a new one rather than wonder. Will check oil tonight and install new battery since tracking shows it will be here today. I might actually have it running tonight!

UPDATE! IT LIVES! I looked into the carb and it looks as if nothing has run through it. It is pristine. All the lines are in excellent shape and no decay in the rubber. I discovered the fuel line was disconnected and there was an inline fuel filter in the bucket. Apparently the dealer knew that gas sitting in the carb was bad. I drained out all the residual gas in the tank and flushed with new fuel. I Put in a quality inline filter since I don't see a way to look inside the one I found. New battery came yesterday. Oil check was good but overfull. Cranked after a few tries!

My new scoot sat since new in 2007 in a climate controlled storage building. Has 6 miles on the odometer. I just bought it for 500 bucks as is. Hoping to get it all ready soon. Dirty, dead battery, old gas, but new. It's a Jonway YY150T-28.

Hi all. Just purchased a new bike and decided to join up. Former motorcycle rider here, so I am no stranger to the road but new to scooters. I had recently purchased a second hand 2007 50cc Roketa Bahama with 300 miles on it, in red and white with a black grill over the lights. The little one affectionately named it Spider Man. Unfortunately I weigh 200 lbs, it wasn't capable of taking me up hill or stay at a decent speed on any inclined road. I decided to sell it and used the proceeds to acquire my new scoot, a 150cc Jonway, model YY150T-28. It is solid black and sleek, earning it the nickname Venom. This new bike is a 2007 with 6 miles on it that sat in climate controlled storage since it was new. It was sold to me for a mere $500. I am in the process of refurbishing the bike. I love the fat 13 inch tires. So far I have removed the old and dead battery and a replacement AGM one is due in the mail Monday. Tires are good, no cracks or blemishes and are at the proper psi. Brakes all work, but am thinking I may have the brake fluid replaced to be safe, opinions? Sunday I will be draining the carb and tank of old gas and see what the inside of the carb is like. Will pull the spark plug and see if it's clean, check filters and oil levels, and see if I can fire this thing up. Wish me luck!
