The exhuast bracket came loose and then I found the exhuast stud broken off a 1/4 inch inside the head!!
I bought for $400 a 2011 50cc Gmw with 5400k on it. First scooter for me. Have ridden planty of bikes though. This is for the beach and fun.
I replaced the battery, new bigger 19mm name brand carb and adjusted the valves myself. I plan on painting the plastic and the wheels myself after replacing all the tired hoses and clamps. All the mechanical before the aesthetic and high perf mods.
So, im going to use a reverse drill to remove the stud and am gonna have to remove the head. I figure i will install a bbk or just rebuild the top end because of the mileage.
There are a couple things i need to adress before i buy Nything though.
1) will a 80cc bbk decrease the mpg by alot
2) would a performance cdi and coil, air filter and drilling my current exhuast offer much more performance gain than a bbk? I am really looking for low end torque.
I heard a bbk kit is the sMe price as a new 50cc head. Is this true?
So what in your opinion would be a better route for me? Im going to take the head off regardless to get the stud out.
