sounds like the starter bendix is not going full stroke to engage the ring gear and slipping,,take off the belt cover and hit it with a little pb blaster,,,the shaft not the belt,,,that should get you back in order i would think,,, Is this still good advice....about the cover....I googled and found out what 'pb blaster' is....I have WD40.

It starts to turn over and then it stops turning but I can hear the starter moter running and then it will catch again and then let go some how and I hear the moter running. It seems like something lets go of something and then grabs it again and then lets go again. That is the best I can discribe it.

Yep..the H4 hid bi-xenon bulbs fit the hole in my 2008 Roketa 54B where I took out the old 35w bulb holder. Be sure that the harness and ballasts are the correct ones that go with the H4 bulbs and don't just buy xenon bulbs but get Bi-Xenon bulbs for hi/lo lighting. Taildrag

So the high beams should work with the Off and On switch when on ON.
OK...I know that..
There is NOT a separate bulb for the high beams they work off the same bulb that the headlights work off.
OK...I know that..
My question is how to turn on the LOW beam if, as you say the ON gives me the HIGH beam??

I have an elec. mess and if this works out OK I will never do it again. 2008 Roketa 250cc M54-B...bad headlights...want to change. Bought....Zenex Slim HID Conversion Kit H13 (9008) 6000K Hi/Lo Duel Xenon (Diamond White) Took off the front plastic(what a mess)took out the old bulbs and the new ones fit real nice. No problem placeing the ballasts and the relay and wire back to the battery Now for the mess Where do I connect the stupid harness? To one of the existing headlight wires or the left handel bar light switch(which is broke and I will order a new one). and that adds another item to the mess. I am dead in the water here.Just tell me where to hook the stupid thing up and I will never do this again.

Salute all; 2008 Roketa 257cc 54B Cyprees. Re: H4 lights. Do I just take out the orig. turn and pull light bulbs and the H4s will just go in -or- do I cut off the orig. sockets and splice in the sockets for the H4 lights? As some of you know..I am an 87 year old WW2 Marine and love my Roketa.

Well HURAY for me. I did it all by me. Got that left bottom panel off and found the air/fuel mixture thingie but you will never ever get to it...it's un-getable. Took the seat off and found the idle screw...fired her up...ran for 5 min. and addjusted the idle to 1600 RPM and it WORKED. And then in one day I gpt it all back together again. In one more month this ol' jarhead Marine will start his 88th birthday. I did good...I think. Salute

Are all schooters built like this Roketa? It runs very well and I love it but when I throttle down it dies. I have developed a way to hold a small amount of power to over come that but I would like to adjust the carb. I have a friend that was, for 30 years, an aircraft mech. in the USAF and can fix anything and he will fix my carb. if I can get to it for him. I will keep all of you posted before I eat my 38 S&W.
