Nothing really wrong just didn't appreciate Dave saying we should get back on topic from what I said when it was already not the topic. Generally though to make it easier for others later to find the info if you want to discuss the handling of a trike its best for your sake and future riders if its in the trike section not a dealer review section. That being said constant digression happens everywhere. I really just wanted to set the record straight as I thought we were all just making light of it all then I was accused of trike bigotry. Any way doesn't matter really carry on.

Oh and the GoldWing trike and ATC where both three wheelers I have ridden so hence the comparison. Also the the topic of this thread was motobuys.com not trike handling or whatever...

Dude you misunderstand I never said they suck the handling characteristics are quite interesting, however. I have never ridden a trike that felt safe to me. That is my preference and its just as valid as yours or any one else's. The GoldWing trike felt strange at all speeds the ATC felt dangerous always. My Chinese scooter had a less than solid feel at speed I can only imagine the trike set up amplifies this. The guy (who hijacked this thread by the way) said his bike felt strange, which in my experience with trikes, is par for the course. You, Dave, called me a wuss I never made any comment to your manhood or any disability. Get your heart off your sleeve. Trikes don't handle like 2 wheelers no one should expect them to...

It is doing exactly what you say it isn't doing thoug. Most bikes will not exceed 5-6000k rpm until 40ish or more. Not saying you don't have issues other than the variator but it almost sounds normal what you describe. Does the bike pick back up if you let off a little? Have you tried varying your throttle position at all when it happens? Does the plug look rich or lean? I think before you determine you have an issue you should run it past 35. Take it for a top speed run and see...

Have you jumped the solenoid to check if it is bad? Is the battery recently fully charged with a charger?
