Clattering is usually too much gap. It can also be a lack of oil to the top end. That is likely what yours is it just takes a a second for the pump to get oil up there and then all is fine. I wouldn't give it much thought.

Correct no tapping means that the valve is pushing against the rocker arm constantly and is likely not fully closing. If they tap there is a tiny space there that the allows the cam to move the rocker that little bit to open the valve. Clattering on the other hand is bad. A mild tapping is perfectly normal...

Picture is a little blurry but, most newer (like yours) 2 strokes aren't pre-mix but oil injected. You will have 2 tanks one for fuel and one for oil. Your picture looks like a 4 stroke (no mixing) engine a picture under the seat or where the exhaust pipe meets the engine would help us be certain. (and hold that camera nice and still...)
