Pretty clever Leo! I'm going to go to the store today and see if I can pick up some LED's to install. I don't want to wait for a mailed order from ebay. I wonder who would carry them?? LOL! Details, details....
I really do need to do something about the visibility problem on my stealth scooter before something really disastrous happens.

Hey Jerry, all this talk of installing an oxygen sensor is very interesting. I am curious though what the benefit is to installing an O2 sensor on the scooter is. I know that on cars and trucks oxygen sensors, exhaust gas recirculation valves, charcoal canisters, catalytic converters and other such devices are installed for the purposes of emissions control. Here in Arizona, motorcycles and scooters are exempt from emissions requirements. Are you trying to make your scooter pass emissions requirements or is there a performance benefit?
Thanks!

I am not sure surprised the cage driver overreacted. It was Russia. Fist fights and accidents seem normal there. It's true! Youtube is overflowing with videos of crazy Russian driving. That's why almost everyone in Russia has dash cams. It's so they can prove to the insurance companies that it was the other guy's idiocy that caused the wrecks. I think traffic signs and signals are just a friendly suggestion in Russia.

Wow! Taos! That's a tiny little town just outside the Arizona border in New Mexico. It has it's own HUM from what I've heard. There's a lot of EARTHSHIPS out there. My wife and I looked into moving there because we're eco-freaks. We liked the idea of getting a small piece of land in Taos or just outside of Taos and building an off grid eco-house. We put the kibosh on the whole idea because we couldn't realistically find work anywhere nearby there to support us. I'm jealous that you're able to make it work there. I love small out of the way towns like that. If you like seclusion, you're going to LOVE Taos.

Jarlaxle, Hey don't forget auto mechanics. Honest runs pretty thin there too! LOL! Seriously. Rocky, in regards to people pushing it with the cops, I've seen it too. But there's usually a reason for their animosity. Cops abuse their authority and they ruin their own reputations. People get fed up, and when the opportunity presents itself, they spout off and usually they're just blowing off steam. Let's not forget that it takes TWO to tango. The cops who arrest those people for simply exercising their rights to free speech are the ones in the wrong in my humble opinion. Unless someone is physically violent or is threatening physical violence, the police have no cause to arrest. When someone is verbally venting, hey they have that RIGHT! Freedom of speech means freedom of speech. Not freedom of speech as long as you aren't insulting a cop. We all know that police get a pretty WIDE berth when it comes to stepping on people's rights. Cops need better training, and better constitutional education before being allowed to patrol the streets. Cheers! Dude...you have the ratio reversed. It's like lawyers, politicians, and used-car salesmen: the % ruin it for the good ones. I have also been present when others just kept mouthing off when an officer, who was responding to a complaint, was very kindly letting them go however they kept pushing things so far that the officer had no choice but to arrest them in order to restore order.

I agree Leo! The guy at the scooter shop where I had the tire installed was trying to talk me into buying a big 500cc scooter. He told me that California is about to ban 250cc and smaller on their freeways, and he said that as California goes, the rest of the country will go. I say HOOEY to that. In the first place, I've heard nothing of the sort about California banning 250cc on the highways. And secondly, my 250cc GrandDinksta easily does 75mph. In fact I have a hard time keeping it down to the speed limit on regular 45mph roads! The Dinksta wants to RUN! In regards to the black beauty, I've decided to call my ride Johnny Cash. He was the man in black. So my scoot will be the Dinksta in black. Ha! Or maybe I'll call her Dinksta Cash. Yeah that has a ring to it. Dinksta Cash. I'm liking it.

I think the matte black finish really IS like a stealth fighter. While riding around town today, I had not 1 but 2 different idiots on 4 wheels move right into my lane with me IN IT! I definitely seem to be a lot more invisible on the road. On the other hand, the stealth scootie attracted a lot of pedestrian attention as I rode by. I saw more than just a few people turning to gawk as I rode by. I'm not sure if they were marveling at the scooter or if there was some other more unflattering reason for their rubber necking. It could have been the farty sounds I make with my mouth as I pass by pedestrians. I do that A LOT. And then I laugh and laugh for a half mile down the road after I passed them. I'm not kidding. That's a true story!

I kinda like that scooter with the up front compartment. It's a fun oddity anyway. If I was going to go all out and get a really interesting yet FUNCTIONAL scooter, I would get THIS.................

I just had a Michelin City Grip 120/70R12 put on the front of my scootie and I have to say it's a night and day difference from the old tire that was on there. The Michelin handles a lot better. Steering at slow speeds is a lot less squirrely with the Michelin tire. I can't wait to put one on the back. After riding around for about 50 miles on the Michelin City Grip, I have to say I would highly recommend this tire if you're looking for a good handling tire. Good stuff.

Looking good. I might have kept some of the red in there (whole red stripes or body parts), but this is definitely killed the parrot and looks sort of ninja-ish. Certainly more masculine... If I ever drop my scoot and mess up the panel paint, this is certainly a way to get back to something visibly satisfying. Yeah I thought about leaving some red. The trouble was that all of the paint had airbrushed feathers in it. When you looked at it up close there was a lot of pink and purple in it. It was a scooter that Ru Paul or Liberace would have felt right at home on. So it all had to go.

It is a bit of a shame to cover up such a good quality paint job. But it's a greater shame that someone didn't just paint that thing they even signed it! If it had just been the purple feathers, that as a girly-girl I could've lived with. But the beak was a big turn-off, and we've established the eyes were just creepy. As in really creepy. VERY really total creep-out creepy. I'm not a fan of black (aren't as visible and show EVERY SINGLE GRAIN OF DIRT!!) but it does look like you did a great job on it. Enjoy the manliness of riding a non-birdy menace bike! Oh, say, that gives me an idea! heh heh heh... >'Kat It was either re-paint or get rid of the scooter. It looked ridiculous. The only reason I bought it was because it was a Kymco and it had pretty low mileage for the year. When I first got the bike I decided to rate it on the manly scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being John Wayne manly and 10 being Ru Paul fabulous. It rated about a 7 or 8 before. Now I rate it about a 2. It would have to have machine guns mounted on it in order to get a real John Wayne 1.

That Hooligan looks great! I'll take some more shots tomorrow in the daylight and post the finished product. I really did work my fingers to the bone! LOL! Every joint hurts. I guess I'm not 18 anymore. What a shame. 18 was great. Too bad I can't be 18 again and retain all the knowledge I've saved up at 43. What a combo that would be! Ha! Anyway... I gotta pass out. All work and no play makes Jack a TIRED boy. Tomorrow will be a play day. All day. No work. Just play. It's gonna be great.
