So I've still got a few more days until the nut tool comes, in the meantime...
What are my remaining possibilities for possible issues? I feel like I have to be getting close

Hey murky , do you know what part of the gear I'm talking about ? I would still love to see a pick of it . Do you mean the sort of sleeve piece that comes out of the center?

I readjusted the tensioner when i put it back on, the result was no change from before changing top end
The metal pieces are some what rounded like they were part of something large and circular If i run my finger along the bottom i get a thin layer of dark oil that is a good portion metal "dust" Very metalic black oil

Ill put up a video in a few hours
Is the starter clutch supposed to spin freely in both directions by hand? (The part with the teeth like looking things in that picture right behind that silver colored nut.

Not sure what I'm looking for but i should add If i put my finger through the hole that goes to the main crank that is where there seems to be the most metal pieces, also there is a small layer of dark thicker oil with a metal flake sheen

Ok so i know it took awhile (shouldnt have ordered the tool from china ) But here's what it looks like, i don't see anything wrong except that the gasket is ripped, but most likely from me removing it There was alot if little black Specs in the oil, which was brand new and never run

I always figured the bevel was there so you didn't have to press it in. Hey murky , don't worry about the gear behind the variator. I'd check the starter clutch . I know I mentioned the that gear , but I'm with rcq, I doubt that's the issue. I still believe your at the point where you need to check the starter clutch. If it were me I would have checked earlier , but that's only because its happened to me before . I'd like to see pics of the clutch before its removed and after. Also pics of the inside oof the clutch gear where the rollers contact it. Alright I'll do all that as soon as the puller gets here Also i post pics of the timing tomorrow

So you're saying i should pop off the gear behind the variator?
And yes days building up to the breakdown something didn't seem to be running right And the was a light rattling that didn't seem familiar This all started not long after I put synthetic oil in for the first time
