I am working on a scooter with a 139QMB engine and carb PD18J. The current carb does not have an accelerator pump, there are also no vacuum lines present coming off the carb itself (for pump or cut off not exactly sure exactly what that is on some of them.) I would like a new carb, but all I see are carbs with accelerator pumps. Are they interchangeable?

Thanks, that at least eliminates the possibility of using gy6 parts.

I have a go cart here that was run out of oil. It has the 1P57QMJ engine and I really don't know where a good place to get parts is. I have been trolling ebay and amazon and some other stores that come up on google, but I am not confident enough to order. I need a piston, cylinder, gasket set, and crankshaft (took out the wrist pin end of rod.) What confuses me more is the diff between the 1P57QMJ and the 57QMJ. Some say the 1P may have a taller head and then some cylinders wont fit. How do I know if I have a taller head? GY6 comes up in a lot of hits when I search for my engine, but they are not the same, correct? Would like to find a shop that I can get all the parts from and can help me put the order together. Last thing, if I go the new engine route, how do I know if I have a long case or short case?

I am working on an atv, yes I know not a scoot, with a 139FMB engine. I am familiar with the 139QMB, but haven't seen this particular designation before. Think I read somewhere it has to do with the cooling set up. If that is the case, are the other parts interchangeable? Specifically, I am looking for a stator. The current one is a 6 pole, with 5 pin harness and all wires are in one connector. I see many for sale that are 6 pole 5 wire, but not all wires are in the same harness. Should it still be the same? I would just pull wires out of the connector and mate them appropriately to the ones on the atv. I think this is a purely AC system as well, so are the other stators I see also AC?

Thanks for the help guys. The first 2 websites didn't have what I was looking for. I presented the info to sunright, and they said based on the vin, it is a Buyang Group atv, so they don't have that part. The one that was posted from mortch looks like a match. It doesn't say anything about Buyang though, and although pic is correct there is a disclaimer that the pic might not match the part, that makes me a bit nervous when the shipping is 50 bucks. Thanks for the tips so far. I think I am on the right track.

I am having trouble finding a flywheel for an atv. I know many, if not all, engine parts are interchangeable on these engines and hope maybe someone can point me in the right direction. I am pretty sure the atv is a Linhai 300 engine. The model of the quad is FA-D300A, vin# is L4PGVT32873000345. I cant seem to find any numbers on the engine itself. I am finding plenty of smaller flywheels, possibly for the 260, but my stator measures 104 mm. Can anyone point me to a vendor that would carry this?

Ok, so assuming the belt is the correct size then, I pulled the variator apart and made sure the rollers were seated properly. They looked good, but I don't know if it something that can be visually inspected good or bad, unless they are obviously shot. The scoot starts up and runs perfect on its stand. The engine runs through its full operating range. When I jump on it, I get about 20 mph, and then engine just bogs out, almost to the stalling point, when I give it full throttle. Again, I can stop and put it on the stand and it revs up perfectly. I have already cleaned out the carb and checked for air leaks (the intake has cracks in it but is not leaking as verified by spraying carb cleaner all over it,) put a new plug in it, checked air box for cracks and cleaned the air filter out, checked all the vacuum lines and petcock.
I should also add, that it seems this problem only showed up after putting the new belt on. Many other people are suggesting to re-jet, but nothing changed other then the new belt.

Also, where should the belt be riding on the rear clutch. I am familiar with snowmobile clutches and it would be what I think of as the secondary. I have seen a couple different belt sizes for this code case. The top of the belt that is on it is riding about 1/2" to 3/4" below the edge of the sheave when brought back down to an idle. Should it be level with or slightly above, similar to a snowmobile?

I have a 50cc 2 stroke scooter here, Wahoo brand I guess. It has a 12" wheel which from my research suggests a long case. The old belt blew to pieces and could not get any numbers on it. The new belt that was put on is a Gates Powerlink 788 18.1. The scooter will barely move, which I believe is because this belt is too short. It is riding near the bottom of the "secondary clutch," and is very tight. I have found where they say to get a 729 17.7 30 belt for along case, but that appears to be shorter yet (788 vs 729). What should I be looking for?

Thanks for all the tips and direction everyone. I figured for the 50 bucks it was for parts I would just get a new variator and driven clutch. Scooter runs pretty good now, not perfect but 100% better than it was. It was the correct belt too, I just never took notice before of how tight they were.

So I pulled the cover, and as I was expecting to see, the belt was extremely tight. So tight I don't know how they got it on. I have here a 50cc 4 stroke with a 10" rim (2003 Manco Hornet), which according to my research is a short case and shows I need a 669-18.1-30 belt. The belt I pulled off says it is a Gates Powerlink 669-18.1, that's it no other numbers. I would expect to see a 30 behing the 18.1, but there is nothing there. I don't want to order another belt and have be this exact same one. Is "30" the length in inches? If so, this one measures about 26.5 around the outside of the belt. I think I am getting close here, just don't want to order the same thing I have.

Haven't had a chance to dig back in to it, but my customer called and I explained what was going on and lo and behold they told me they put a new drive belt on. I am thinking they got the wrong one. Are these belts fairly universal or do I need to find the one for this specific model scoot? I don't think I have ever had to look for a very specific part, its all been pretty generic so far

Petcock seemed to be it. I pulled the vacuum line off this morning and there was fuel coming out of it, swapped it out with another I had lying around and it fired up and idled! Thank you, don't know if I ever would have looked there.
Another problem though, the rear wheel will not stop moving no matter how low the idle is. If I grab the brake, the engine stalls. Also when I rev it up, the rpm hangs, tried adjusting the fuel screw with no changes.

Thanks for the replies. Yes it was smoking while it was running. Not bad, but more than I have seen out of any scooters I have worked on in the past. I have seen many engines with gas in the oil, but never that have a fuel cutoff, ie the vacuum petcock. I was hoping the rings weren't damaged but was afraid the smoke was telling me different which is why I did the compression test at around 105. Can the vacuum petcock on these scooters be bypassed? I have never tried it before.
