I have a go cart here that was run out of oil. It has the 1P57QMJ engine and I really don't know where a good place to get parts is. I have been trolling ebay and amazon and some other stores that come up on google, but I am not confident enough to order. I need a piston, cylinder, gasket set, and crankshaft (took out the wrist pin end of rod.) What confuses me more is the diff between the 1P57QMJ and the 57QMJ. Some say the 1P may have a taller head and then some cylinders wont fit. How do I know if I have a taller head? GY6 comes up in a lot of hits when I search for my engine, but they are not the same, correct? Would like to find a shop that I can get all the parts from and can help me put the order together. Last thing, if I go the new engine route, how do I know if I have a long case or short case?
