Yeah well, be careful (and get the modulator) because the last one who ran into you really did not know "the way to San Jose"

I live about 265mi's from NYC. I'm up by Utica NY. Yeah, but this was the only rock & roll song with both "Central" and "New York" in it.

I participated in a similar thread on another site. I'll take my Vog 260 on highways with a 55 mph limit because I can chug along at 60 in the right lane and no one harasses me. I just can't keep up on a road with a 65 mph limit and feel remotely safe since everyone is going 80. The biggest problem i encounter on the highway is the wind. Sometimes I get so buffeted that I'm totally white knuckle riding and just waiting for the wind to push me over. My suspension does not seem up to the task either. Wait a second... didn't you have a posting entitled "The thrill of the freeway"?

That one comes up when I search for the article I mentioned but the one which I believe had a pic of a yellow T-Max as the lead on it I have not been able to find again. I know I sent it out via email to some friends however a Outlook Folder Compression error wiped out my arhive of saved sent items so I lost the link that I had saved. I searched every combination of editor, maxi scooter, sportbike magazine writers, etc, etc, etc, etc. (even schlepped through google images hoping to backtrack it by the pictures...NO luck!) I have the sneaking suspicion that it been deleted, otherwise it's been hidden where no one can find it.

Ah, back in the day (the eighties) you could have taken your 150 on the freeway no problem, as the speed limit was 55mph and only "crazy" people went past 65-70

I had a guy on a 600cc Sport Bike having trouble keeping up with me in traffic and when he finally caught up he was quite dismayed to find it was a 250cc scooter he was having trouble waxing. He took solice by saying that Aprilia was like Ducati. You need to compare at least within a reasonable class range. I wish I had saved the link as some time ago I read an article from a major Sport Bike magazine that had their editors compete in a track race with the Pros on their Sport Bikes. The editors were taken by limo to pick up their rides that they were to get familiar with by riding them to the track. Behind the curtain they found not sport bikes but scooters in the form of a Suzuki Burgman Executive 650, Yamaha Majesty, Yamaha T-Max and Aprilia Scarabeo 500. The Burgman placed near the lead group with the rest of the scooters not far behind with all comming in ahead of 50% of the pack. All the Pros were laughing and jeering at the beginning of the race while toward the end at least 50% were either angry or humiliated while those in the lead group were very nervous. For a bunch of old guys on scooters that they had never ridden before they did pretty good. I remember that article, but the ONLY thing I could find is this: www.motorcycle-usa.com/14/10384/Motorcycle-Article/2011-Maxi-Scooter-Shootout.aspx

102 mph on a mini bike, ARE YOU KIDDING? INSANE! (Gotta love that Big Daddy Roth "Rat Fink" mini bike!) But I voted for "Ole Blue" anyways.

Spandi, figure on this, For every 1 tooth up and 1 tooth down on the gearing you can expect to gain 3-4 miles per hour on your top speed. So realistic going 2 up and 2 down you can expect about 6-8 mph, but also depends on your motor and how strong it is. Also remember guys backing off the throttle a little once your at Speed at WOT and it gains a little more speed that is telling you , it is a LITTLE LEAN at WOT and you may want to slap in the next bigger main jet. Alleyoop Thanks OOP!
