Hello, I got this Roketa 250cc scooter from a friend. He replaced the engine on it but did a poor job connecting the vacuum lines. I can't seem to find any diagrams or useful pictures on this forum or general online search. I'm hoping that someone on here can help. I tried the service manual as well with no luck. I have uploaded two pictures with the lines i need to connect, but hoping for a diagram of some sort to verify the other ones. I appreciate any help

Thanks for the heads up on checking with WD-40 around the intake, i found the pipe going from carb to air filter was very lose, got it back in place and now the engine revs much better, it still seems to shake a little too much at idle, and there is a slight hesitation around 2k rpms, but ive been riding a 50cc 2stroke for a while so I don't know how much of that is supposed to happen?
I replaced the spark plug too, it's all i could think of as far as maintenance, is there something I'm overlooking that could cause the scooter to hesitate and idle a little rough?

Hey guys, I bought a 05 reflex that was sitting for a while and it didn't start. I found that the fuel pump was dead so I replaced it and the scooter started but now when I accelerate it dies or justfalls flat,if I accelerate slowly it will get up to 6000rpms, also once over 3500 or so rpms it acts fine, has full power.Took apart the carburetor and cleaned it, everything looked good, didn't help. Oh also changed fuel filter.Any suggestions?

So another update, after the engine cooled down all the way, i tried to see what would happen if i tried to start it, and i would not start, and not only that, but it sounded much different turning over then usual, and it seemed like the starter was having a harder time turning the engine over. It's almost as if the compression was not very good. Ill test compression later this week, I don't have much for tools at the moment
But i really wanted you're guys input, does this sound like the engine overheated and warped the cylinder or the wall and now the clearance is not good? And if so, would a 70cc upgrade kit fix everything or do i need to do more to the engine?

The more I think about it the more it seems like it's either running lean and over heating or the oil is not getting to it, any thoughts on next step?

Hello, I have a Genuine buddy 50cc 2 stroke, I was riding it today going about 37mph when the engine just died, not slowly like if you hit the kill switch but just turned off. Tried to turn it back on turns over fine but no start. I waited ten min and it started up, but after going half a mile down the road it died again, this time losing power slowly before dying. Checked the 2stroke oil and I had plenty, stock engine never had issues. Last time it died, the drive belt area started making some noise, not too loud just noticeable and has not done that before
Any suggestions on what could be happening?

I usually don't use sound much but it was so loud and right when the scooter started acting up it seemed to coincide. Well driving it today down the street to get a gauge to check the valve, it starts acting up again, so i stopped while still holding part throttle and the break, then put my hand behind the muffler and there was barely exhaust coming out. I shut the scooter off and turned it back on, and sure enough lots of exhaust gases coming out, and its running fine again. So i think it is the muffler after all, now my question is, whats my next step.. do i just bite the bullet and order a new OEM muffler for 200+ with shipping, have a local shop weld on a different muffler or can this one be salvaged, but it sounds like parts of it might have come apart inside and are causing the blockage.

The engine has 9k miles on it, I don't know the history of tune ups. I don't have a garage so i have not been able to check valve clearance yet, i have to do things one at a time, so i was hoping someone on here had a similar experience so they could point me in the right direction. I've never had a muffler clog up on me, but it did make the strange noise yesterday when it was running badly.
Maybe today ill take off the muffler and see if i can't find anything going on, and possibly check other areas, until i have the time and space to check the valve. Thanks for the reply!

Hey guys, I have a Genuine buddy 50cc that i bought recently. The scooter starts great, and has great power even at full throttle, but at random it will lose power to where i can't go faster than 20mph or worse and i have to come to idle and sometimes have to turn it off and on again to get it back to normal. I went through the carb and changed the fuel filter yesterday and no luck. The seller told me a mechanic said the muffler needs replacing, I did hear a whining noise coming from the muffler yesterday when it started slowing down.
My question is, could the muffler be causing this issue, and if so, is replacing it the only option. I live on Honolulu and part availability here is limited as well as shipping as very high. What are my options? Thank you

The exhaust i took off and welded the pipe where the crack was, but i did have to make a new bracket for the muffler as the old one broke off, i noticed its mostly vibrating when decelerating from 30mph down to 20 and.. im going to take a look right now and hopefully fix both problems! This is the most helpful forum i have been a part of

Okay I'm going to do that today, while I'm working at it I want to fix by oil leak, it's spraying oil in the front off the engine, it's getting all over the inside of the seat and engine any idea where it could be coming from? Thank you everyone for all the great input

You guys were spot on, my compression tester was giving me false readings, valves were both too tight, put them at .04, now i get 130 psi, scooter starts! But now on deceleration, especially 30mph and less i get really bad vibrations, on acceleration and top speed nothing, engine seems to run strong and good, but only on deceleration.. It didn't do this before all this not running stuff.. While working on it i only took off the valve cover and adjusted valves, changed spark plug

Hey guys, i've tried searching for answers but could not find anything, my scooter gets strong spark, fuel and has great compression, but no start.
Here is what happened, yesterday i took it out, and driving home my exhaust pipe cracked and was leaking exhaust badly (i fixed that this morning), i kept driving home about 4 miles... well going down one hill i hit about 58mph and the scooter started acting weird, loosing power.. i limped it home barely, it was getting worse, and left it for today, this morning i can't get it to start.
I checked the spark plug and it looks good, gets really strong spark, the carb is a week old and fuel is getting to the engine, tried a little starting fluid and no change. Compression is good. When revving it sounds normal, but every once in a while it will sound like it wants to start, and just does not. I checked the kill switch and security switches and all are okay. I don't suspect them since it was running so rough yesterday.
Could it have overheated and caused damage somewhere? With compression being good I don't understand why it wont start
