Ok my last 2 cents .what do Harleys and german shepherds have in common ? Ok they both like to ride in the back of pickup trucks ( go to Sturgis and just watch the trailer queens ) and second they both leak alot . Now if you want to see something lay down oil a friend has a 1928 or 29 Indian .bone stock but restored , it has a total loss system , if you look at the bike it has 2 gas caps , but 1 is really a oil cap , the gas tank is really half gas tank and half oil tank , when you start the bike you turn on both the gas and oil peacocks .the oil runs through the engine and right out on the ground, there is no oil pan , pump or anything else .the tree huggers just love him when he rides it , and don't forget to shut off the petcock , or you will gave about a gallon on the ground

Sasquach , Goldwings are a American bike , built in the USA , Japanese parts yes , just like Japanese parts on Harleys , front forks for example

Even on brand name expensive bikes you will find the speedo off , they always read fast , not slow . this is done so that say you are doing 50 in a 50 zone you are really doing a little under and will not get a speeding ticket which in turn would lead to a lawsuit in the land of sue everybody for everything . The manufacturer is just covering himself

I had a  , 1200 wing that I put 200.000 miles on .I tried just about every oil I could find and in the end used Amsoil , it also nearly stopped the honda clunk .never was in the motor other than cam belts , if you are going to lots of miles see if you can get a Corbin seat .and found Metzler tires the best for my wing .there a great bike and super on long holidays .bought mine used in 86 with 12,000 miles for $3950 sold it 16 years later for $5500 .cant about that . |

Were I live we get the least amount in the country , for the last 3 yrs it has been 60 inches , from were I came from in Canada that is about the same if you count rain and snow , but friends of mine live up near Boquete and they got 22 ft , can not understand why people would move to the Caribbean and live in year round rain like they get , I know my toes and fingers are not webbed

Funny video but faked , gives the HD crowd some hope I guess , and if that German guy thinks that his is a rat bike he needs to go back to school , its a old used up chopper .not one piece of stuff hanging on his bike , sure it's old , it's dirt but that does not make a rat bike . I see now why after Smitty won another rat bike contest they shipped his bike to Germany for a contest , I never heard how he did there and I am guessing this guy in the video missed the show also . I guess I will take my honda cub clone and race the newest kawabunga deathstar 9000 and post the video of my win LOL

So people even say Harleys don't leak oil anymore . 1990 was the 50th anniversary of the Sturgis rally ,1/2 million bikes showed up , it was a good year but what blew me away is main street go so slick with oil that every night they sprayed the street with VHT .VHT for those that have never run a car at a drag strip is what they use on the starting line for traction .its like trying to walk on honey , ya right they don't leak . But if I had to ride a Harley there is only one I would ever want to own , google Smitty's rat bike .it is cool and have chatted with him many times as the girlfriend hung more stuff on his bike

The question too ask is if Harley made a airplane would you fly in it ? One yr the girlfriend and myself were headed to Sturgis , I had my wing pulling the wagon and she was riding her Shadow , we came up behind 2 guys on their Harleys also holiday packed I would think also heading to Sturgis . There was not way on earth they were going to be passed by a Jap , so they rolled on it , well so did we , we were running about 115 mph with me on my horn right behind them , it did not take but a couple of miles before one guys bike start blowing smoke out of one pipe , he motioned to his buddy to pull over . He know his sturgis holiday was now a dream , but on the good news side they had not made it out of Canada yet so home was fairly close . Oh yes we beeped and waved as we went by . Ah Sturgis the only place in the world were you can ride any make of bike around town dragging a magnet and collect enough parts to build your own Harley

There is crime here just like everywhere , most of the killings are drug related , so if your not into that the chances are slim , there are part of panama city you don't want to live in , just like Watts or Compton in LA . Theif has hit some gringo areas as they know a gringo house has all the good stuff , but there again it depends were you live , from friends in Canada that I skype with , home invasions are worse up there . The cops here treat me good , if they have a drivers license check and you are legal away you go . I have been shaken down when caught speeding , so you decide if you want to buy lunch for your new friend $5-10 or pay the $50 speeding ticket . I have done both , depends if there is 1 cop working or 2 , as paying them is illegal . As far as being happy , I will never leave , this is my new country now , on a scale of 1/10 for me , my area , life style etc a 7-8 , not perfect but I don't thing any place is

I moved to panama almost 7 yrs ago and you really dont see many snakes , a 5 ft and a 7 ft boa I saw on my farm , they left when I touched their tails and a little 2 ft red bodied with a black head around my house ever now and again. But you need to remember , red on black is a friend of Jack , red on yellow will kill a fellow . And it is not Costa Rica I would worry about it is the two leg snakes in every country between the states and CR .now are you going to ride or sit on the porch .
