I stumbled upon this 2008 blog about 2 riders that drove 3000 miles in 11 days on a 49cc scooter. It's an inspiring and sometimes comical blog of their adventure. scootercanada.weebly.com/index.html

I have over 3,5k miles on mine, and wonder if it matters if I would do the almost 4k miles at once, or do it over time?
I suppose doing it at once is better since there will be less parts wear due to rust over the short time the bike is used intensively.

To ride to Panama, we have pass thru Costa Rica, and they have some of the biggest ###### poison snakes in the world. -On the blog- Those were two very brave young folks to cross the continent on a 50cc scoot TWO UP. I don't have the huevos to ride across TX to Big Bend on 125cc scooters, sans passengers. The traffic can be very fast in TX on even small county roads, and I would need to take a lot of US highways to get there.

I moved to panama almost 7 yrs ago and you really dont see many snakes , a 5 ft and a 7 ft boa I saw on my farm , they left when I touched their tails and a little 2 ft red bodied with a black head around my house ever now and again. But you need to remember , red on black is a friend of Jack , red on yellow will kill a fellow . And it is not Costa Rica I would worry about it is the two leg snakes in every country between the states and CR .now are you going to ride or sit on the porch . .LOL

I'd do something like that on a bigger bike, with a riding buddy or two, but two up on a scooter would make for a long trip. I'd do it on the 500 I have, but it's a comfortable bike and I'm a bigger guy so a tiny scooter would make me hurt... On my 500cc it would be fun. On the goldwing, even better. It is very impressive, considering it's a 50cc and not just because of the scooter. It's impressive when you consider the level of difficulty.
