I think I'll take the flywheel/rotor off tomorrow and see what stator to buy and just replace everything at once, so it may not be until Tuesday until ordering parts I don't agree with throwing parts at it , if that is the route you want to go I have everything . A few voltage measurements may save you some hard ache . John

I have reversed the power and pulse wires and the cdi continued to work . That does not mean it is in your case .

I don't think any other parts places are doing any testing . I'm the tester for nycscooterparts.com . I'm also the buyer packer shipper . What are your questions or concerns ? The phone number is in the banner and is ment to be used .

pull your carb off !!!!!! dribble some fuel in while cranking . See if it will stumble or start .
Don't you want to see the engine fire ?

The gage on the vest I can rely on . The ones on the Chinese not so much . Before I got the vest , I kept a 5 gallon gas can and topped off before leaving in the morning . I ran out of gas twice on my harley once my fault and the second time I had a joke played on me at work . They pumped out my tank , at the time it was a 6 mile ride I made it 4 . I still keep the 5 gallon can just in case or when it very cold . I ride the Chinese and use the heated clothing . It's a pain to fuel when bundled .
Today it easy swipe at the pump and pump .

I can scratch that idea then... That's the kind of info I was looking for... If it's just big a glass pack tube, then I have zero interest in it. My Havoc will reach 62MPH (55MPH avg easy) on level terrain and it's 100% stock. For now, that's plenty fast enough. The way I look at it is like this, I paid 1699.99 for my 150cc, I can get a brand new 250cc for 2099.99. a $400.00 difference. I've looked at the cost of BBk's seen the guys upjet their carbs and all the other upgrades to squeeze every MPH they can... But IMO,it's really pointless when you get out of the 50cc scooter range. The cost in upgrades would be every-bit (and could be way over depending upon upgrades) of $400... So why spend all the money and time when you could just spend the same (or less) money and get a scooter with 100cc's more? In Michigan, Anything under 100cc is considered a scooter. With a scooter here, you do not have to insure or plate, only a registrations sticker... So if ya wanna skirt the law a bit, I get that...... But when ya get up to the 125cc and bigger it's just better economical sense to just go the next size up scooter as the cost difference between 150 and 250 is not that much.... However, I also get that people fall in love with their scoots and just wanna upgrade it... If I had more confidence in my mechanical abilities I would probably move over to the camp of upgrades. I wish I knew a scooter mechanic here in Michigan that I could intern with for a couple days a week... I really would like to know how to wrench on these scooters better. Your in the right place , its a collective effort here (give and take) , some cross breeds . Like me I used to do component level repair on audio video (TV , VCR , Stereo laser disk dvd) and ac (air conditioning) . Circuit disection is something I do well . On the air conditioning side there is a lot of mechanical . This is a hobby for me so its not always about $ . I enjoy riding and others should as well . Don't fret about wrenching read posts here you will get a gut feeling on certain posters here . Then sort out the repeaters . You will do fine . John

I tested 4 that look the same and have different timing , the one I have changes timing with rpm automatically if you look and listen at the video again the light flashes in sync with spark . The fan moving is the spark timing change .

double check the mechanical timing , if you get the same thing dump some fuel bypassing the carb or cover the air intake with your hand restrict the air a lot going into the carb when trying to start the engine .
