This is why everything was not adding up . I didn't want him to replace the top end if he didn't have to. Its usually something simple that's why I mentioned a possible weak battery . I had this issue many times over the years. These batteries tend to die pretty easy . I'd still buy a new plug , but it may just fire up without it. I'm just not sure why the scoot shut down while it was running? Good call!!!!!!!!!!

get a set of jumper cables and connect to a car battery and jump the scooter , do not run the car
That is a real weak crank.

Was it a nice strong spark ? It would suck to tear it apart and it ends up being something simple. No smoking exhaust ? I would expect to see some smoke if the rings were bad . no noise while trying to start the scoot ? I tried to watch the video but it won't play for me . does the battery seem strong ? Also is the scoot ac or DC " when it comes to the cdi" a DC scoot will do exactly what yours is doing if the battery is really weak. Just trying to cover everything. I'd like to be able to hear the scoot turn over so I can hear if the battery is weak or not. he has the settings in private mode, I can not view the video either. John

starter wire , stator plug, ground wire, spark plug wire, carb, shocks and main bolt through the hanger. leave the wheel and muffler. One complete unit, stand/level it on 2x4's.

Inside the carb, the body of the carb. There are passages above the pilot jet, the ethanol eates the body of the carb and restricts the flow through the passages. That's why I clean an old carb once if it is less than perfect I dump it for a new one. Old meaning it sat for 3 months with ethanol fuel not drained out of it.

The 100vac at the head light is troubling me. Where is it coming from? Take some readings at the stator plug , unpluged green to white, yellow to white, white to green . at idle and at 3000 rpm. John Unplugged stator plug, cranked at idle: green to white = 18vac Yellow to white = 3 vac White to green = 16vac Volts increased with rpms. Did notice stator plug was really loose so I tightened up the metal contacts in the plug and made sure they made a good connection, now the highest volt reading I can get out of headlights, is around 25-28 vac when reving. Go back to the stator unplug it, get voltage measurements with the engine revved up 3 4000rpm. yellow to white, yellow to green, white to green. this is very important. We need to see the output of the stator with no load. John

Oh by the way I meant to ask have you contacted the vendor you got your parts from for tech help?

looks like its getting hot, here is where it gets tricky. You need the proper load to check the voltage. That means you need a good bulb lit while your checking the voltage. Post a pic of your meter and I can tell you the details on how to get a reading. John 100vac when you rev it up, something is wrong I suspect everything connected to that ac circuit is blown. That means you have no load on the system. Be careful. How long ago did you replace the stator (whats the history)? John

3 clicks to the right, one probe to the white and one to the green (black or red make no difference).
