I'm new to scooters so bare with me. I recently put in a new K&N air filter in my 08 Burgman 400. I read somewhere that some (air/fuel) adjustment needs done to regulate gas consumption. Is this true and if so how do I go about doing this? I'm asking because it seems like my MPG has DRASTICALLY decreased since installing the air filter.

I'm a new rider and I want to know how long did it take you to muster up the nerve to get on the freeway? Let me be completely honest, it makes me want to drop a deuce in my pants even thinking about taking the freeway or even highway. My reason is stupid drivers who show no concern or respect for anyone on two wheels. I was going down a 45mph street today and had to squeeze my brakes and felt like I was about to lose control just from the brakes stopping power. So I can only imagine how terrifying it would be going freeway and highway speeds if I had to suddenly brake fast. What are some of you more experienced riders ways of getting over this feeling?

I just bought and installed a K&N air filter for my 08 B400. This thing was a ROYAL pain to install even after watching Mitch's video on how to install it. My problem is this, the middle tab that the filter housing is supposed to fit in broke off when I applied pressure to get it in. After it bent the outer two lips fit snugly in. Will this be a major problem now and effect my scooters performance?

Gonna miss Scootdawg, but a fresh start is always nice! Just wanted to say hi from Ohio to fellow Burgman 400 riders. If you're local let me know so we can chew the fat and perhaps ride. Be safe everybody! Attachments:
