I just bought and installed a K&N air filter for my 08 B400. This thing was a ROYAL pain to install even after watching Mitch's video on how to install it. My problem is this, the middle tab that the filter housing is supposed to fit in broke off when I applied pressure to get it in. After it bent the outer two lips fit snugly in. Will this be a major problem now and effect my scooters performance?

Do you have a picture? As long as there are no gaps visible it should be fine. The housing should hold it in place... Did you remember to oil it?

Is it red yes = oiled no = go get some oil. They stock it at any auto parts store. I'm fairly certain your fine.

You may have re-adjust the air/fuel ratio screw, it may need to be richer

Richard is correct, a lot more air is getting sucked in and you need to richen up the mixture. You are most likely running lean and mean NOT GOOD. Alleyoop
