Thanks giving has now passed and we move on to the next holiday and this thread seems to be headed to the "what happened in the past" stage and getting past the OP meaning. Enough said, locked.

Didn't she intentionaly try to run someone over with her van? That has circulated but I think we're all missing the point of Leo's thread, it's Thanksgiving and no matter what happened we can wish "everyone" Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving

so which wire is which.... meaning which wire is 1, 2 or three? Or does it matter.... It doesn't matter, key thing is testing all 3 phases because this is a 3-phase stator so just unplug the 3 yellow wires from the R/R and take a marker and label the 3 wires 1,2 and 3 then test according to my directions.

OK,
Sorry to ruffle feathers... I only wanted to remind riders to remember a less-fortunate member who had numerous friends on the site. The missus and I have had enough communication with Terrilee to think she probably was being honest in her many posts prior to being locked away. I don't know her personally, but with long-term messaging, one forms opinions (right OR wrong) about others' views, character and truthfulness. I believe crimes should be punished, and I think victims rights should always come first, and I also think paying for a crime once is enough. That's just my opinion, but I can see it's a very unpopular one... So before some start thinking this old conservative is a socialist, bleeding-heart liberal, I'll simply wish ONE-AND-ALL on the site a blessed , happy Thanksgiving, no matter where you happen to be. The wife and I will be having dinner with our many kids and their families, and we'll be thinking of those who cannot do so, for whatever reason, ESPECIALLY those serving in the military, protecting our right to express our own opinions. Sincerely,Betty & Leo in Texas
Happy Thanksgiving Leo and the only feathers you ruffled was the ones on that old turkey that is going on your table my friend, thanks for your kind words. JR

Very well put Leo, let's not let this thread get out of hand folks, it's the Thanksgiving season and a time to be thankful for all the good things we can be thankful for.
As in all things when it comes to any crime there are two sides to the coin. In this case we have heard from one side of the coin and unless someone knows the other side we don't know what to really think. But regardless of why any person becomes incarcerated one can hope they learn a lesson while paying their debt for wrong doing and then be an example to others of how to correct a wrong and become a model citizen, it can happen I know of those who it has happened too. Also for sure today more than any time we need to think about the victims of any crime, too many times it seems we get caught up in the criminals rights and forget about the oppressed.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Video on how to test the stator:
Now one part is specifically wrong. Do not test the voltage on the yellow wires to ground rather test wire to wire as follows with the engine running:
Wire 1 to wire 2 Wire 1 to wire 3 Wire 2 to wire 3
Set the meter on 200Vac and at idle it should be 40Vac+ and with higher rpm should rise as high as 100Vac. All three legs should be virtually equal, if not then it's toast and replace.

Since I pretty much can't stand Neil or his songs (esp that horrid Merry Cherry Christmas), it's got to be Barry for me. Although this is sort of like asking who's more macho, a cheerleader or a pom=pon girl. >'Kat What!!!!! Can't stand Neil!!! Neil finally did grow up some, get rid of the 70's long hair stupid look but Manilow? Yuk
