I think it's flooded right now, after running for 10 mins it won't start and I smell a hint if gas. I took the sponge out, it was wet. Will keep trying to start it

I replaced all vac lines. The old clamps didn't work perfectly, some too big some too small. Will have to work that out tomorrow. Can I use zip ties as clamps?
Anyway, still bogging out on throttle

I went to the auto store and get replacements for all of my vacuum lines. I'm working on cutting them to size now.

I got the broken bolt out and replaced it. It's still bogging down on throttle.
I have been making the valve cover pretty tight in the past, so to see if air is leaking in there I sprayed carb cleaner all around it but the RPMs didn't go up.
Not sure what to look for now.
I suspect the auto enricher isn't working anymore. Maybe. It started at like 1800 rpm and dropped to 1650 or so, I thought the gap was larger, but maybe not.
BTW - this scooter is brand new. 170 miles on it.

I left it sit overnight before adjusting since I think the last time I adjusted it was shortly after running it.
The top seemed a tad too tight. Bottom seemed like was .006. I adjust both and working on putting it back together. Just broke another bolt off putting the valve cover back on so I have to deal with that now too.

It's still bogging on throttle. I might try to put the stock belt back on just to see if there is a difference

I can't get the stupid carb open. I tried and tried and the bolts just strip the heads off because of the lock washers.
Anyway, I just put the exhaust back on and the throttle feels a million times better. I only ran it for a couple of minutes but I think that might had been it.
Going to put it back together after dinner tonight to take for test drive.

The new gasket for the exhaust should be here today. Could the loose exhaust been causing the trottle issues?

I ran into another parts delay today. When I started it up this morning I noticed it was much louder than normal. I looked under it and found the two nuts that hold the exhaust on how come off and were on the ground under it. The pipe didn't come off the bolts so I just screwed the nuts back on.
When I started it something was still wrong, it was still loud. So I took it completely off and found that the exhaust gasket had been damaged, probably when I put the nuts back on and now it needs to be replaced.
I order a new one from amazon.com, waiting for the gasket...

did you do the valve adjustment with the engine cold? 24 hours wait. I should let the engine sit for 24 hours before adjusting the valves? I adjusted them but don't think it was after 24 hours of sitting.

And that hose goes to a canister and it has a vacuum hose connected to it right and the other hose goes to the bottom of the valve cover right. Alleyoop Yes, that is correct

The crack is near the nut that holds down the intake. I was able to separate the rubber enough and the metal under it looks ok.
I checked all T and Y's and no open connection. The only open connection I have is coming off of the only black canister I have left.

I checked all the lines, I don't see any problems. I took the vac line off of the petcock and held my finger over it as I tried to start it and I felt pulsing vacuum on my finger. I took the intake manifold off to get a better look at it. It has a small crack in the rubber outside, but the crack doesn't seem to effect the medal under it.
