I tried to get it off, it wasn't coming off without a lot of force so I left it on. I did push the clutch all the way in to create slack, but it didn't seem to be enough to get the belt off.

What if I take the belt off and then try to start it?

To get it started I made sure the mixture screw was at 2.5 and I just kept turning the idle screw clockwise until it started.

I tried to get it off with a screw driver and a socket but I wasn't able.

The belt is 835 20 30. The whole bike is brand new, it has like 100 miles on it. This whole thing started because it was stalling when hot.

I can't get it to start for more then 15 or 20 seconds so here is the cvt without the biking running:

I took the CVT cover off while I'm waiting. I see black dust in there, like from the belt, is that normal?

Right now I'm at 2.5 turns of the mixture screw and I almost had it started by turning the idle screw counter clockwise, trying, counter clockwise, try, etc....but the battery died so I'm giving it a minute.

I reset the mixture screw to 2.5 turns clockwise and got it started. It idled around 1500 for about 4 minutes, then stalled and now won't restart.

Just got it running again, it was idling around 1900. I touched the back brake and it stalled, won't restart.

I worked on the idle and mixture for about 15 mins and the engine cut off and now it won't start back up. Been trying to restart for 10 mins now

Update!
So that bottom valve being too tight was causing some of the issues. Right now it idles and runs but I'm getting hesitation on the throttle and it stalls sometimes. Although, now when it stalls it starts right back up, so if I'm learning something here, that is a fuel problem. I tried turning the mixture screw half turn counter clockwise and that seemed to make the hesitation worse. So next I turned it a full turn clockwise and that also was pretty bad. So I gave up....for the night I guess. I will try again tomorrow.
Also, even though it's not really rideable yet, it's 150% better now that I fixed that bottom valve. Runs and idles much better and is consistent, rather then running differently hot/cold/warm.
