I would really like to work my way up to a Burgman...but still love these bikes...so easy to work on. I wish we had more around here.

Kat: Thanks for the reminder. Don't want a nightmare at the tax office as some states impose.
Domindart: Yes, thought of that, starting a mobile service in some cases, but buy and flip is a good way to develop my experience. I've been wanting a project bike to tear up. This could be my first victim....

Okay,..Made the trip to check it out.
It's been sitting outside for a year and a half or so as pictured in the back yard against a fence {next to a gate, hence the secret address part}. The plastics are in good shape, full tread on tires(but sitting) and the engine does turn over with the kick start. Didn't even bother to check for a battery. The ODO is showing 999.8, not 9,998 that he had emailed me with. So, I'm guessing the ODO doesn't work, but not the 10k miles I was thinking.
He does have the title from CA, 2006 Viva 150 PH {something like that}, and keys.
So, I'm still debating. WWYD...?

It was listed this past Thursday...now 3 hours till I call for his address. Wanted to see it last night, but was told I wouldn't get the address until today. Reason..."won't give out address til tomorrow when you text or call. just precautionary. can't really trust people, you know?" Can see the headlines now..... YELLOSCOOT STRIKES AGAIN.....Another broken down scooter missing....Police are baffled by this elusive criminal mind.......

Thanks Millsc...Just a couple more hours till I'm supposed to call him....Noon today. Will see it first before renting a truck...so that gives some extra time to decide.

Found this on CL. I'm looking to get it up and running to resell, or just part it out. I just want to make a few bucks on the deal. After renting a truck to move it, I'll be into it for about $175. He's emailed me back with: Clear title {doesn't know the yr., make, model or cc's... ,it says 150 on the side}, 10k miles and just wants to be done with it. I should have posted last night for more input. Supposed to see it today,...so wondering....Way or No Way? dallas.craigslist.org/dal/mcy/4004401939.htmlThanks in advance. Loren

okay,...I have seen on here, or maybe it was the late SD {R.I.P}, that the odometer is directly connected to the cable. Also that it is, or very close to, accurate. The speedometer works off of a magnetic pick-up. That is where the inaccuracy of the speedo comes in. Don't get me wrong...that is what I have read on the forum and have remembered it since. I have checked it with the My Tracks app. The odometer did match the GPS on a 5.6 mile trip to work. (o)

A noisy clatter while running and difficult starting, come to mind...
