I did upgrade the main jet to 80. I will weigh the rollers that are in it tomorrow. I weigh about 210. I dont know what the ratio between weight of the rider and the weight of the rollers/sliders.

Also I was wondering. The spring in the cvt. The big one. Mine is yellow. Is there a color difference in those like the colors in the clutch springs?

I Installed a 52mm piston, sleeve, valves, rockers, head, Upgraded the main jet. New Gaskets. Oil pump.  Basically just rebuilt the motor. Runs perfect. but.....Its not going over 40.. Any ideas?? Or am I just expecting to much out of a 52mm piston?

.....The only thing I can actually think of is that there was no Exhaust gasket on the old head. I installed the new studs and gaskets on the new head. When I first started it.it smoked some. Tuned the carb and it stopped smoking. I was hoping that the gasket would seal once it got hot and. maybe it didnt seal and its not getting the compression that it needs? 

Yeah I am getting power and pulse from the stator
Here is the picture of that plug. If it is too blurry I can go out and take some more.

Yes the motor and the harness are both grounded to the frame, I will unhook the black/white kill wire from the cdi right now and try it.

Ok so some background. I bought this thing pretty cheap from a guy on craigslist. It ran. Drove it for two weeks or so and it stopped.

Bought a new carb, Cdi, Plug, Coil, and harness

I have hooked everything up and here is what I have ( from the rear forward)

- Brake switch and taillight are working
- Fuel gauge working
- Magnet pickup is giving a pulse
- Battery is staying maintained 
- Turn signal bulbs and gauge bulbs are getting power
- Starter cyl kicks starter when start button is pushed

There are two plugs at this point that weren't on the previous harness. I will post pictures at the end of explaining what is working and what is now. but one plug is a four pin out style and the other two. 
I am assuming that one is a kick stand switch that my bike didnt have on the older harness.
now getting on to where the main harness joins the top harness

- Volt reg is hooked up there
- Two main plugs are hooked up
 There is a plug that has a cap on it with a looped grey wire, This plug was on the old harness with out the closed loop plug cap on it
- Ignition plug I have wired two male plugs to a two point switch because the bike did not come with an ignition tumbler

Now onto the top. I have the kill switch and the start button wired and the turn signals wired and as I said, Brake is hooked up

Here is what my main concern is right now

Motor will turn over
Stator maintains battery
Magnetic pickup is giving a pulse

I am not getting  pulse from the cdi to the coil
This is leading me to believer that there is a killswitch problem somewhere
The switch itself was tested with the volt meter on top and bottom and it is clicking so its good...

It is grounded in the same spot that  have the stater grounded. Ill get the thing running then gap the valves later. testing with a meter I have a good connection from frame to motor but I am grounding it on the bolt that attaches the Stater cover to the motor. Do you think there is a better place to ground it? 


Also having to hold it to Wot to start the motor.
