So update on carb, received an email from TMS, they apologized for the issue and offered to send a new carb at no charge to me. So waiting on a response, I do find that OK but should not have needed to. Relaxing for a few then putting the other carb on and hoping it works don't want to have to wait another week before I can ride.

Yea I could see where the master link could be the weak link in the chain and would suck to replace that way just to have to rebuild the motor because that link broke and it eats a valve or something.

On the one I have the jets were dirty the outside of the carb was dirty but looked to have a new slide, needle and diaphragm, also the main jet has scratches on the outside and the part where you would put the screw driver to removed is damaged, had to put vice grips on and a wrench to get them apart.

Still waiting to see if they answer my e-mail, as of right now I would not suggest using TMS if you are needing everything, if just the motor is all you need and have the carb, and other electronics they do seem to be the cheapest however starting to see why, dmartin95 has bought 3 long case and 1 short case from them and recently pulled the carbs apart after my issue and noticed that all the carbs are gummed up.

Any "idiot" can run with the bulls, but it takes some stones to get on the back of one and try to stay there for 8 seconds or more.

I remember seeing a video where they showed how to do it on a 150cc motor, but haven't been able to find yet.

The only issue I would see if you split the chain and then couldn't get it back together is, you now have a tool with no use and you have to split the case and replace the timing chain anyway. Have seen some videos of people doing it doesn't look to hard however if I'm not mistaking when they put the new chain on they had to weld the pin on the chain. Let me see if I can find the video I saw.

Yea I bought directly off their website. Hopefully they don't give me any issues, and will either send me a new carb or send me a refund equal to a carb. Their site advertises as being a NEW complete motor.

Yea the supposed new carb was dirty, on both jets there were holes plugged up. I was using fresh new gas, when the last motor went one of the first things I did was completely drain the gas tank, and got fresh gas yesterday to fill with.

Pulled the old carb apart, the jets were dirty, so pulled the carb completely apart cleaned the jets, a few of the holes I couldn't see thru on both jets so got them all cleaned, and back together I am done for the night fed up with it atm, so going to wait until after work tomorrow to change the carbs back and see if it fixes it.
edit: also e-mailed TMS and seeing if I can't get them to send me a new carb, as this one is definatley not new.

So went to go for a test drive scooter started right up, let it warm up a little bit, hop on and start to leave, get out the driveway go to give some gas and it just bogs down, anything over 1/4 throttle, thought I had it adjusted right, bring it back home, go to adjust the carb, no change no matter how much I turn it unless I close it then the scooter dies. So pull the carb off put my old one on, start to richen it up rpms go up, 1/4 turns waiting 10 sec then another 1/4 turn, gets to just where the back tire starts to move and doesnt seem to raise rpms when I richen a little more, so turn back 1/8 turn, hop on to go for a ride is better but anything over 1/2 throttle and it bogs, no popping just falls on its face, let off and will pick back up. Hoping my problem isnt going to be like the motor you opened that was 2deg off on timing, dmartin95edit: I did check the valve lash and it was right.

So fired it up today, let her warm up, drained the oil and gear oil replaced with fresh, started to make sure was full, and got hit in the face with foamy oils as I opened the fill tube. Long story short had forgot to take the breather tube from valve cover and attach to air cleaner, came attached to the vent tube from cvt. Thought I had a problem drained the oil started to put fresh in and still having problem. Moved the breather tube problem went away. Was going to take for a small cruise but started to sprinkle so tarped the scooter and will try for the test ride in a couple hours if it dries up.
