I don't have a torch. What else could I use to get enough heat? Would a blow-dryer create enough?

I've been trying to break from my swing arm so I could change the back tire. I've tried breaking it loose with tapping the axle with wood and a hammer, I've tried using a 2 jaw puller, and still nothing. Any suggestions? Photo

Went out this morning to check it. Had lost all power, even to flashers, discovered a loose terminal connection on the battery. Fuse was good. Back running and will be doing a tune up in the morning.
Thank you Alley for the suggestion. The fuse was not the culprit, but checking it allowed me to quickly discover the problem.

I will check that tonight when I get home. I was running late already, then when it wouldn't start I didn't have a chance to check anything, other than a quick jump against the solenoid terminals.
Would I still have turn signals if that fuse is blown?

Rode home in the rain last night. (usually not a problem)
This morning went to start it. Hit the button, the starter momentary hit, then everything went dead. I still have turn signals, but I don't think I have brake lights.
No clicking sound. Switch on brake handles working ok. (no kickstand switch)
Tried jumping the solenoid = nothing.
had to get to work so I am trying to figure out what to look for when I get home this evening.
Suggestions would be helpful.

Perfect. Thank you.....That is exactly what I needed. I can handle that. I ordered a set from ScrappyDog and they should arrive tomorrow. I've been careful riding since I discovered it, but I have not sensed anything different in the ride or handling since I've purcahsed it last year, and I just passed 10,000 miles. I just don't like taking chances. I can imagine it would be very ugly if the bolt gave out on my drive.

I understand that. I am wondering how difficult is it to get the old ones out. It would seem to me that they are pressed in.

How difficult is it to remove the existing engine mount bushings?
I was getting gas this morning, and noticed that my back wheel and engine was not trailing straight in reference to the center line of the bike. It looks as if it's offset by a few degrees. I looked at the bike carefully, and noticed that the engine mount bushings are pushed out of the casing. On one side, it appears that it is fully out and the other side is about 75% out.
I have not done a whole lot of mechanical work, so how much work is it to replace these?, and can somebody post a photo of what they should look like when properly installed?
I do not know if this is something new, or if the bike has been this way since I purchased it. I have not noticed anything different in the handling of the bike.

I have an under the seat airbox, and my flex tube cracked. I ordered a new one from scrappy, however I just noticed it does not have the vacuum line coming out, which normally goes to the charcoal canister. Can I run that line anywhere else without creating an issue?

I don't see 12k out of them either. I replaced mine after about 6,000 miles, and they were worn down to the brass. They were, however, worn evenly and still worked well, but I was noticing a big change in top speed RPM and my mileage went way down, so I knew it was time.

Here is my prodigy variator this is before I put in taller tranny gears notice the mark 1/8 from the edge and that is a 115mm variator with 12 gram Dr Pulley Sliders. Alleyoop How much farther can you go to the edge of the variator without risking a problem?
