Man, Really sorry to hear this. Everything can change in a second. I often think about what I would do in the situation you were in. Where there's really no way out and you have a split second to decide. I hope you have a fast recovery. You mentioned that the car driver turned left into your lane and then turned toward you. Any idea why the driver turned back toward you. Bad judgement call maybe? The only thing I could think at the time, and even now, is that he thought it was a turning lane. He did not admit to turning back towards me, and according the damage on his car, he was aimed into the turn at impact, as I hit him at the corner of his car. Either way, he was too distracted to safely negotiate that turn.

Coming home from work on Dec 28th, I had a bad head-on. The guy stated he was blinded by lights in his mirror, and turned left into my lane, then proceeded to turn back towards me. I tried to go behind him, but when he turned towards me it was all over. I clipped his fender and landed on the car. I do not remember a thing after seeing his lights turn back toward me, until i was in the ambulance. Full face helmet did it's job. Had a fat lip, but no serious head injury. Broke both arms, and had bones sticking out of my right arm. Something sliced into my knee and did some damage to the kneecap, but they cleaned it and stapled that. I've been unable to do anything, and am just now getting some movement and mobility in my hands. They had to put steel hardware in both arms. Bike was destroyed, and for all my pain, I at least did some serious damage to his car as well. Be careful, I always say you are a target when riding, and now I have the scars to prove it. Kev

due to my work schedule, I still have not had a chance to try removing the swing arm again.
Looks like I need to try it next Monday.

That idea was suggested to me by a local guy who is pretty knowledgeable on these. I am not familiar with how to do that, but it may end up being the best way to get this done.

It could be bearing play. I really couldn't tell. At least it's running fine for the moment. I'll know more on Monday

I did spray it. That's when I was able to see a slight bit of progress, but I got called into work and had to put it all back together. I'll keep spraying it and try to remove it again on Monday.

Tried for a couple hours this morning again. Gave up on removing it today. Put everything back together cause I have to get to work and hopefully can look at it again next Monday.

Yes to all. I do ride in the rain. This is my daily driver to work (15 miles each way) in all weather.
I've tried pounding it from several different ways. applied heat. I think I may have gotten a couple mm of movement, which is progress.
I'm gonna try again in the morning when I can see better.
I do appreciate all of the assistance.

I havn't tried through the rim. I'll go out and see if I can position it to do that.
I cannot see anywhere where the swingarm could still be attached other than stuck on the shaft.

Removed the exhaust, took off the bolts holding on the fender, the 3 bolts holding it to the engine/frame, and the shock. Removed the wheel bolt and washer. Swingarm is loose and wiggles a little bit, but just will not release

One other question. I see what looks like a snap ring. Is that simply to hold in the bearing, or do they sometimes use those to hold the swing arm in place?

It's not letting loose for anything. Gotta keep trying. Stopping to eat something right now.

Thanks John. I'll try that. I"m also gonna run down and pick up a heat gun from HB before they close.
I really need to get this done asap, as I rely on this for my daily driver. Hopefully I can get it to break loose tonight, then have the tire changed in the morning.
