Ok ok... I know there are already answers here... however, if the outside diameter of the tire stays the same and only the rim diameter is changed, still the same width the yes, you can use larger diameter rims. The tire at 10 x 3.50 in is wider than the 10 x 2.50 in rim so as long as you keep the same OUTSIDE DIAMETER tire and the same width rim it should work, however, you WILL need a lower sidewall tire, lower profile. the lower the profile, the rougher the ride so the only thing you may gain is looks. You have the outside diameter of the tire and the 3.50 inches wide to work with because it is already taking up that space. Make sense?

Hard to believe that I don't have a 9mm wrench... so, I ordered a loose one on eBay. Should be here in 2 days. $1.66 and free shipping for a craftsman wrench. My coil and CDI will also be here soon

Do you all think that adding a small amount (6-7ml) of stabil to a tank of gas can cause the scooter to bog? I was riding it today and it was under a half tank and seemed fine, no bogging and I just filled it up with BP octane, still, no bogging and I have not added anymore stabil to the gas.

@ sailracer - No, but I have been in a bad motorcycle accident due to the fault of a person not obeying traffic laws and it almost killed me. So now, I don't take crap when it comes to me riding anything on two wheels. I don't care who it is. Other than that I am pretty easy going... but like I said, no warrants, I will get mouthy... to a point

Both of us had our hands in view. I was angry but I also didn't get belligerent and cuss at him. Telling cops how I feel is just something I do with no fear. I have no warrants so I don't fear being arrested. I am allowed to speak my mind and I will for sure call them out if they are in the wrong or put MY life in danger because they are breaking traffic laws.
I debated with an old cop for almost 20 min in GA. before I called him a liar and said the conversation was over. All of it was over him pulling next to me at a gas station and hearing my stereo... (2-10's and 2 sets of components running about 1,200w). The thing is, he said he was at the light about 70 feet away and could hear my stereo, a complete lie as I had my volume almost all the way down for the past 3 miles I had been driving because I was on my Bluetooth in a call. So he tells me he could ticket me for my stereo and that I need to keep it down. I said you absolutely can not do anything and I can listen to it at ANY volume I wish. At this point he tried to be a bad a$# and took in some air and squared off with me trying to intimidate me... didn't work and I squared of with him with a smile. I said "something you want to say"? He said that if I kept getting smart with him he would arrest me and would take my stereo out of my car.
I let him know that if he kept harassing me and threatening me I would file a complaint against him for being full of sh%#. He was pretty hot by this point. He said give me your drivers license and I said no, I haven't broken a law and you have not detained me or read me my rights. I said, what you can do is apologize for wasting my time and stop being a liar. I told him that my stereo has been down in volume for a very long time and there was no way on this planet that he could hear it from the distance he claimed. I said nobody has called and complained about my stereo so you can move on, this conversation is over. I walked inside, got my stuff and left. He followed me most of the way home... so I kept the stereo off lol. It's nothing more than abuse of power... he probably didn't like the N.W.A. rap music I listen too and formed an opinion in his head of me and went with it. I forgive him though.

Nah, he knew he was in the wrong. I see cops all the time breaking traffic laws and never see any of them getting pulled over.

Thanks prodigit, I actually messed up when I put the top cover to the carb back on... apparently the diaphragm was not sealed in the groove (slaps forehead) and it lost a lot of top end (normally indicated on the speedo of 48mph went down to 40mph, my speedo reads 4mph fast gps verified). What I did was put EVERYTHING back to the way it was except the needle. Back to 3 - 6g rollers, back to the NGK plug, idle, A/F screw... glad I marked it before I touched it. It is still bogging and shutting off at lights if I ride at WOT for a bit. I can keep it from shutting off if I keep on the gas until it levels out, then I can idle fine at the light. When I go to take off it goes gggg and then goes hard.
The bottom of the carb is still leaking and I have to assume it is causing an issue. I just want it to stop bogging and shutting off or at least know why and what so I can fix it. If this scooter topped out at 50mph I would be more than satisfied but I am way more concerned with how fast it gets there. I want 0 - 50mph in 7-9 seconds. This goal may very well have to be a well tuned 100cc BBK.

@^#^$(*(#)@*&$!!!!!!!!! UGGGHHH!!!! Well I played with my scooter a lil bit today. Why do I mess with stuff? I decided to play with the needle clip, the air fuel mixture screw, the rollers and the idle. 1. I was only running three 6g weights, thought I was running 3-5g's and 3-9g's. I put in 3-7g weights and lost top end. I am going to try 3-5g's and see how it does. 2. A/F screw... turned it clockwise. (STUPID STUPID STUPID!!) I am about to put it back where it was and then 1/4 turn counter clockwise from that. Clockwise makes it bog real bad after its warmed up and I stop at a light. Lesson learned. 3. The needle clip. Back to the bottom. 4. Idle... I am getting pretty good at this one by ear. Idle is fine. 5. Carb is still leaking gas. Looks to be out of the remote drain hose at the bowl. Will fix tomorrow. Dig this... the scooter dealer said the Keihin carb was new... when I pulled it out of the intake, it lookes like someone did a crap job of boring out the carb. UGHH!!!

I have just over 300 km on my new scooter... in that time I have had two incidents already with other drivers:
The first one was a woman who felt the need to pass me up a blind hill over a double yellow line (No Pass Zone) and I was doing better than the 25mph speed limit. When I reached the red light where she was stopped a few cars back from the right turn she was waiting to make I put my scooter right in front of her car so she could wait a lil bit. As the light turned green I moved up, she pulled beside me and says "that $h&t can get ya killed" I said so can passing someone up a blind over a double yellow moron, piss off!!
The second was a Sheriff Deputy. I am in downtown Concord, NC in a 20mph zone on a two lane road with no passing. I am easily doing 25mph and this guy passes me in the SAME LANE!! He had no blue lights on, slowed back down after he passed me and just kept driving. He stopped for the next red light and I was pretty angry. I pulled up to his window, tapped on it and he rolled it down. I said "What is your problem?" All he could say was excuse me? I said you passed me in the same lane back there in a no passing area, are you trying to kill someone??? He said that he gave me room and I said I don't care, you passed me in the same lane, what if I had turned left? You would have planted me. I told him to do me a favor and if he see's me on the road to keep his patrol car the away from me, I am not trying to get run over by someone who is supposed to protect and serve. I left. That was it.

Well it seems good where it is but I will move it two slots down tomorrow and see if it adversely affects it.

When it's cold and I first start it, it slightly smells of gas out of the tail pipe for like 15-30 seconds, then it smells perfectly fine. Should I go the other way with the clip on the needle?

Thanks PGS Ok, so I finally took it for a ride after changing the clip on the needle, On my gps it looks to be 3mph gained on flat ground WOT. I am very pleased as it only took 10 minutes to do. On the down side, I have issues still with the scooter bogging at lights or shutting off. It starts right back up but it's annoying. I fully believe my main jet is fine but I am not so sure about whatever controls the fuel when I come to a stop. Sometimes it bogs down and slowly comes back up in rpm's to the right idle speed. Take a look at my plug, this is after a WOT ride for 15 min and I pulled the plug. What do you see?

Took out the needle in the carb and moved the washer to the last bottom notch... it was on the notch just above it so I only moved it one... haven't really noticed much difference yet.

I replaced my 1157 with a 27 LED 5050 SMD 1157 bulb (White) do yourself a favor if you go LED, which I recommend... Get the RED LED's... the white (roughly 5-6,000K) through the red lens makes it look slightly orange. It does work very very well though. 27 LED's though bright is the lowest number of LED's I would use in the brake light. I have seen 42 LED 1157 bulbs in RED that are not 5050's but should still be brighter for around $7-9 on eBay. Check the pins on the side of your bulb, they should be offset and the contacts on the bottom should be two contacts. These are the exact bulbs I got, they fit with room to spare on my 2013 TaoTao ATM50:
