I have Kenda for a rear tire. Never had a "real" tire on my scoot, but I don't drive crazy in the rain/snow. I haven't wiped out yet, not to brag by any means. I don't slam on my brakes in crappy conditions, nor lean much. It gets the job done for me. I really plan on buying a better quality tire(s) next time just to see the difference.

My carb that was originally with a 72cc engine that was sent to me on accident a while back, has a 78 jet in it. The only thing that isn't stock besides the 72cc, is the snorkel isn't on the airbox. Scooter ran like a champ. I just rebuilt my engine completely-- crank and all, with the same carb and jet.
I've never had a faulty chain tensioner, can't say for sure there.
It sounds like it wants to go though.
Not sure if you used a torque wrench on the head bolts. Make sure, although you prob know, is adjust the valves at the settings you said when the engine is cold.
What kind of scooter is that anyway?

Actually that pic was the "longest drive" hole. Winner got a prize--- my skinny butt was second. I'm actually not sure if that was before I put my ball down, or afterwards. It was a great time--and sunny. There was a "closest to the pin" prize, too-- on a par 3. Hole 9, the last hole, was a par 5. Once you got into chipping distance you HAD to throw the ball onto the green. Lol. Then putt it in with a hockey stick. Good times.  |

sorry for changing the post. i thought the rain has damaged my cdi or something. but i guess not. i think it is the pilot jet being clogged, as i see the pilot jet, i can barely see through the hole, i am soaking the jet with injector cleaner and see if the problem will dissapear. You can barely see through the pilot jet even when it is clean. |
