Broken wrist

Tuesday night coming home from work a few deer jumped out right in front of me, I swerved and hit the brakes and the next thing I know I hit the ground and rolled probably 8 times- slightly downhill.
I was doing about 35-40mph when I hit the brakes. I did more rolling than anything. When I got up I knew my left wrist was broken-- never had a broken bone before. My scoot was still running so I turned it off and pulled it to the side. Called 911. Waited, a couple cars stopped and one waited with me until emergency vehicles arrived.
I was up walking around fine just wasn't sure how fine I was. I was wearing my helmet, a carhardt one-piece suit, winter jacket, and leather gloves. Surprisingly the road only burned through to my right knee a bit, and a tad on my right palm. My helmet is a bit scratched, right glove torn on the palm, the right knee on the one-piece has a hole, and jacket has a long rip or two.
My wrist (good hand) got fractured pretty good-- I'll be having surgery on it next week. The pain was pretty bad the next day-- this happened Tuesday night. It still hurts and sometimes feels like it's on fire from the throbbing and swelling- even with pain meds.
It could've been much worse. Glad I didn't hit the deer. I was just coming over a small hill when it happened.
Edit: the scoot was running but haven't inspected it yet.

Anti-fog

I only seem to have an issue with fog once the temp gets colder than 45F or so, and the colder it gets the worse it is. I wonder how well it works when its like 20F, lol. Does your helmet has ventilation ports? If it doesn't, you will have condensation problems no matter if you use anti-fog stuff, if it does, you should be fine with the ventilation ports open, use a balaclava to keep your face warm. Yeah, it has ventillation ports. It could use a couple more, or just a tad bigger, even for the summer. I usually wear a balaclava and even double up when needed.

I use this on my helmet visor: linkyIt is a expensive, but it works fine, works as an anti-fog device as well as sun shade, it is light sensitive. So you just use adhesive on it? I know my old helmet visor had a pinlock on each side but not my new helmet's visor.

Have any of you guys used anti-fog/rain products on your face shield with any success? I'm asking because I've never used any of those products before.
It's getting to that time of year for me where I have to flip my face shield up to reduce the fog so I can see better. I tend to ride my scoot sometimes in the colder months, so the extreme end of things will be me riding with the shield up because my breath will freeze to the lens-- which isn't exactly warm. Not sure if there is any way around that-- the freezing on the lens.
The fog is the key thing here, and safety of course.

mirrors

The last set of mirrors I bought a couple of months ago lasted about a month, if that. The female part of the mirror itself that screws onto the arm was made of plastic. Not a good idea if you like your mirrors tight enough to not move on you. The weak plastic area cracked on both mirrors. It didn't strip, it just crumbled apart on both mirrors.

I am on Yahoo Answers, motorcycles. Because of you and others on this forum I tell people that Cheap Chinese Crap *can* be reliable. Lol. I used to get on Yahoo Answers ALL the time peaking around probably 2008-2009. I remember I'd look for scooter questions and when I found one half the answers would be (with no real input) "that's why you don't buy Chinese!", "You should have bought a Honda or Yamaha", "You're lucky it hasn't fallen apart yet", "Just push it off a cliff and buy a Yamaha!". Hahaha, it kind of cracks me up. I remember there was this one guy who would show up on every question posting things like I quoted above.

... (I haven't done laundry yet...lol) Seriously? You're over 20 (well, unless you started smoking immediately) and haven't done laundry yet? I'm pretty sure there's probably youtube videos on it, but otherwise just ask and we'll tell you how. >'Kat Ok and when I do go, I'll take a vid and post it here-- to make sure I'm doing it right. I'll keep the vid short, about an hour long or so....

another thing you might try to get the gas smell out. put your clothes in a trash bag along with some crumpled up newspaper. you might need to change the paper a couple of times. this newspaper trick works for a lot of stubborn odors. i don't know if it will work on "open air" things, but for sealed items it works great. apparently the carbon used in the ink is what adsorbs the odor. thanks for the heads up to always check the nozzle handle. you got really lucky on this one. Hey thanks. Surprisingly it's the first time that's ever happened to me--- I'll definitely be more aware about it!

You would be surprised how many would not be bright enough to go home and take a shower but might stop to light up a smoke instead. Hand wash and line dry to get all the gas fumes out and don't use the clothes drier to fluff them up if they still have any hint of odor from the gasoline. You would be surprised, my friends at the fire department tell me, at how many folks start fires by putting clothes or rags that have been exposed to fuel or solvents through the washer and then the drier. Well, thankfully I quit smoking after 18 years back in March of 2014, so I don't carry lighters anymore. I keep all my lighters at home for pyrotechnic activities, lol. Thanks for the laundry tip though. I think I'll be alright, most of the gas was on the scooter and ground and not me, but I'll take notice. (I haven't done laundry yet...lol)

1)"Pay Inside" 2)"Remove Handle And Press Start" 3)Gas all over the place because the little "hold-open" lever was already locked in place.
It was a LONG and MESSY 4 or so seconds. I squeezed the lever rapidly thinking the handle was broke at first. Gas went everywhere-- all over the scoot and in my under-seat storage (with groceries), on my coat, the ground...etc.
I told the attendant about it and how I had gas all over me. She asked me if I was going home. I said yeah and she said well go home and take a shower. Welp... Erp... Gee.. next time I need advice I know where to go for it!!

Does your .045 inch feeler gauge read in millimeters, too? If so, what does it say in millimeters?

I would go with 6g or 7g (or 6.5 rollers).
I feel with you at 185lb and with a 72cc(aka 80cc) that would be a good range. 8g is probably out of the question, imo, and 5g seems too light. 6g is probably as light as you want to go, and may be a bit on the light side.
I know you read on a forum that stock for Tao is 5.5g, but I wouldn't believe that because roller weights are inconsistent, and "stock" in my experiences means "too heavy" (and I weigh 150).
