For gloves the Sedeci from Cycle Gear can be had at reasonable prices and most Sedici Gear carries a lifetime warranty. The perforated leather Sedici Torino Gloves held up well when I crashed and I believe they were on sale for $29.99 when I bought mine. www.cyclegear.com/SEDICI-Torino-LeatherMesh-Motorcycle-GlovesCycle Gears Bilt line of gear carries a 5 year warranty. Leather Up also sells gear at reasonable prices although their gloves in the same price range as Cycle Gears did not hold up as well for me wearing out and falling apart in less than a year and their warranty is only days on their Xelement brand. I ride almost every day in the harsh Florida Sun so my gear does take a beating. Good info, thanks. I'll bookmark those sites, and this thread-- and I'll post whatever I buy eventually. It may be awhile.

Don't know if you have a cycle gear store,by your house,,,great prices good selection and their motoboss house brand is very reasonable and it's decent stuff,,, The only place in town is the local Honda/Yamaha dealer, which I haven't checked but they probably do have gear (besides helmets). If I don't buy online, the longest I'd have to drive is probably only 25-30 miles, so it's not that inconvenient. I'll be up in that area this weekend most likely, so I'll check around.

The deer whistles need to be installed correctly in order to work. There is a left and a right and they have a specific height and a limit of how close together they can be and still work. The also need to be kept clean and free of dust, spiders, etc. I went down at 40/45 mph this past spring and had the bike slide over me rolling me underneath however the long Sedici Gloves where cinched tight so my wrists were not harmed and the carbon fiber prevented the knuckles from wearing through and the palms stayed intact. The CE3 armored jacket did not tear at all and protected my upper body 100%, boots took having the center stand and engine case go over without cutting through but I did get my knees banged up. I see that I was very fortunate to just walk away and with just a few minor scrapes on the knees though the bruising was a bit intense. Its almost December now and the left knee is almost back to normal but still slightly marked up. Counting my blessings as I read these posts about what could have also happened to me. Get well soon and take a moment to reflect on whether better gloves or other riding gear may be required. Thanks. About the gear, do you, or anyone else know of a good website for that kind of stuff-- with reasonable prices, quality..etc? It's something I've been thinking about. I'll do some looking around myself and check reviews on stuff so I don't buy something that will fall apart in a month, but still feels good.

Sorry you got hurt. I wish you a speedy recovery. Does anyone know if that Deer Horn actually works? Thanks. I have no idea. Also my headlight assembly says it can handle 12v 25/25w bulbs rather than the 12v 18/18w 99.9% of parts sites sell. Only site I found was monsterscooterparts that had them in the style I need. So I think those will be better-- any little advantage I can get.

Here's one from the old forum (I think):
A man enters a cafe and sits down. He notices that the special of the day is chili.
When the waitress comes to take his order he says, “I would like a bowl of chili.”
“I’m sorry, the gentleman next to you got the last bowl,” says the waitress.
“I’ll just have coffee then,” the man says.
After a while, he notices that the guy next to him is finishing a rather large meal and the chili is still there.
So, he asks, “Are you going to eat that bowl of chili?” The other man replies, “No.”
“Would you sell it to me?”
“No, but you can have it for free.”
So he takes the bowl of chili and begins to eat it. When he gets about half way through the bowl, he notices a dead mouse in the bowl and pukes the chili back into the bowl.
The other man says, “That’s just what I did too.”

Yeah they're gonna install some sort of hardware in/on me most likely.
We'll see what the other doc says that I see Tues.
The docs have a few options, although when he explained it, ithe details kinda went in one ear out the other-- it was early in the morn and hadn't slept well. Plus meds.
Anyway, one option was they go into/under my wrist and screw/pin/bar stuff. Another was where I had a bar on the outer arm/wrist with I imagine pins.
I'll find out more Tues.

Hope u get better soon . r u still gonna ride with the broken wrist ? Not until I get better, since my left wrist is broke I'm worried that I'm not going to be able to pull the rear brake--- at least right now anyway because I can barely even move my fingers. Once my hand has better movement and I feel better, I probably will ride it. It could be 2-3 months and maybe a lot longer unfortunately since my wrist is pretty jacked up.

A little advice, as soon as you get the surgery done find a good physical therapist and put that wrist to work, your doctor might tell you to keep it unmobilized for weeks or months, but that will make recovery a lot harder, I was schedule for PT next week by the doctor, 3 months after the last accident, if I wouldn't had gone to PT on my own until now, my leg would have turned into a stiff stick by now, instead now I'm fully recovered walking and riding like nothing ever happened. I have a good friend that is a PT, usually they don't get the credit they deserve, PT has come a long way and is amazing how much it improves recovery. Orthopedists are good to put things back on it's place with surgery, but when it comes to recovery the PT is the person to trust, just like Orthopedists spend their time finding better ways to put your bones back in their place, the PTs spend their time finding better ways to make recovery faster and easier. Thanks. Yeah my wrist is pretty bad, unfortunately. Hopefully Recovery goes over well. A bit worried about how my wrist will function when all is said and done. Thankfully work likes me. Plus, I still have 21 days of sick/personal/vac total-- and all that resets in January. Once those get used they may give me a medical leave or lay me off, so I'll still get paid thank God. This time of year is slower at work, so that's good for them. Too bad I can't play video games for the most part, with all this down time. Now just hopefully all the medical costs don't bend me over too much. A working wrist is the main thing

Hope you recover soon, and welcome to the "Right knee scar club", I have one myself from the last accident Just waiting on surgery next week, I guess then I can actually begin recovery. Tuesday night / Wednesday morning, the ER released me and had already set me up an appointment with an orthopedic doctor. Went and saw him Thursday, got scheduled for surgery on Monday, and then a few hours later I get a phone call saying that the doctor I just saw was not in my insurance network. So I decided with one of the choices for orthopedic doctor that was 25 miles away, and had an appointment today at 11 in the morning--- of course on the way that was when my ride started overheating. We weren't quite out of town yet so we turned around and decided to swap vehicles with my sister, but by that time there was just no way I can make the appointment on time so they scheduled it for next Tuesday-- which isn't surgery, just paperwork again. Scoot was $250 to the wrecker that towed it, got that back today. Later on I went to the store and decided to get my prescription filled for pain meds--- but the prescription ripped in my pocket by the date it was issued so they wouldn't fill it. Lol, I just went to a different pharmacy in when ahead and let my dad do it anyway cause he got my first one from there, and they filled it so that's good. HAPPY FRIDAY THE 13th everyone.... Edit: ricardo, I will say that I really feel for you after all this crap that I've been through. You got really messed up.

Sorry to hear abut this, it must have been rather a shock when it popped out like that. I hope your wrist is feeling better soon and both you and your scoot make a full recovery. BTW, have you seen these? www.xp3hornet.com/I haven't seen that exact kind but I will be ordering something to help prevent anything like this from happening again. An investment that seems well worth it's money, imo, even though I've never used them before. There seems to be quite a price range on those things.
