He didn't mention anything about roller weights, it could be something as simple as a gram or two difference in weight. Even a really worn thin belt could do that.

I believe he's saying that he has had two 80cc bbks and with one kit the rpms were high at 45mph, while the current kit the rpms are super high at a lower speed of 42mph. He's asking if there are more than one "stock" final tranny gear set that are in these Chinese engines-- I believe he is asking that because he either has a new engine or has replaced the tranny gears for whatever reason with "stock/standard" ones. As a last resort, he may take out his big yellow torque spring and put back the stock spring to see if that changes anything.
I believe the answer to the topic question is yes. My stock "secondary" tranny gears were 51/15. Member "millsc" had a few scoots that had 52/14 stock. I don't know about differences in "primary" gears for "stock" but I do know they can be changed.

I change the oil almost twice as much as I used to, and have about 14k with this engine-- which is pretty good for me. I also changed my final gears from 51/15 to 49/17, and that's kept my rpms down quite a bit during max speed. I hate to say it but I'm about % sure that I jinxed myself with that post, lol. I don't like the way my engine has been sounding the last 2 days.

I put quite a few miles on my 50 (72cc), that I've had 8 years this month. I'm about to turn 54,000km (aka 33,554 real miles). If I could ride on the highway, I'd have 200,000 on the odometer by now, easily.
Of course, it'd be nice if I still had the original engine. On my 4th(?) now. I change the oil almost twice as much as I used to, and have about 14k with this engine-- which is pretty good for me. I also changed my final gears from 51/15 to 49/17, and that's kept my rpms down quite a bit during max speed.

I have one of those small tanks, too, but mine is/was a 50cc. I've ran out of gas before and I'm not even sure I can fit 3/4 of a gallon in there. More like .7 at the most. Most fill ups I put just a tad over a 1/2 gallon in.
Not bad though, a $1.25-1.50 (currently) for just over a 1/2 gal of premium 3 or so times a week goes a long way.

will do i hope is a right in my face fix i dont want anymore than that Yeah hopefully it is. As soon as I popped the front panel off and looked closely at all the wires, it was obvious which one it was and I was immediately relieved, lol. Off the top of my head, I believe it was the left turn signal wire.

Look for a frayed/burnt electrical wire. Even though your trike is pretty new, a poorly routed electrical wire (pinched or excessive rubbing) could cause the wire to be exposed and may be touching metal.
I had a wire routed against the steering column and over time it wore the coating down to where the exposed wire was touching the metal column and popping my fuse.

Yeah it's an old link- the link still says 25mph and over you need a license, but the other requirements still hold up. I live here in Indiana. The new law that has been in effect since Jan 2015, made us register and plate the little 50cc scoots and also bumped the max speed up to 35mph. Over the last 5 or so years, the max mph before the scoot needs to be registered went from 25mph to 30mph and finally to 35 mph. www.in.gov/bmv/3220.htmwww.in.gov/bmv/3221.htm

Ever since Back To The Future II (one of my fav movies of all time, the original is better, IMO) "everyone", especially the younger age groups, wanted a hover board---these are just the next step towards that.
Remember they had Back To The Future Day on October 21st 2015 (my birthday!) right before the holiday season. I'm sure that had a lot to do with it. Every TV news network (and internet) was comparing the future in the movie to present day real time to see how accurate it was. When it came to talk about hover boards being mainstream they said it didn't happen because of the requirements...... "BUT we have THESE! The next best thing!".
Saw a few NBA players on TV with them. too, late last year. Those things were everywhere in the media.

I think it's from the bearing cage on the variator side of the crankshaft. The "rivets" are the only reason I think that.
I've never seen a cam stopper/holder in person, although I've seen them before on forums and after searching for "gy6 cam stopper" it doesn't look like those have rivets at all. Do 139qmb engines even have cam stoppers? I can't say I've ever seen one on a 50 (in forums), but who knows things change. I always thought those were only on 125+cc engines.
Florida--- was your scooter engine running louder than normal the last week or two before the chain came off?

urbanmadness I used the .004in/128mm by mistake It calls for the .004mm. Most people actually set their valves for 50cc-100cc in the .002in-.004in range. With that being said, it's 0.128mm/0.00 5in, (mine says 0.127mm). If your feeler gauge reads 0.004in/0.128mm, then your gauge is labeled wrong because 0.004in is 0.102mm. Now that still shouldn't cause the chain to fall off either way. Also, if anything, it's 0.04mm not 0.004mm that you said it calls for, and like I stated above, that is on the tighter side of things.
