I don't know much about the different scooters but I saw that there were a lot of owners that are happy with this scooter. I liked the 13" wheels and I assumed the drivetrain was the same among the 150s.
If I would have known the power max was 50lbs less I would have looked into it further since top speed is a priority for me.
I have owned motorcycles my whole life and my last was 1000cc Yamaha R1
My goal for these scoots are to transport them in a trailer to different destinations an then enjoy the ride... With my wife on her own.
With a 150cc I am hoping to keep up with traffic at 55mph+
I just hope my expectations are not too high.

I bet you are absolutely pumped. How far have you gotten? I am assuming these pictures were taken last night. Where did you order these from? I got them from ProvenPowerSports.com, I have been working with William and so far have been happy with the purchase. The are far from perfect. Scratches and missing some hardware. I finally got through the PDI on one of them. Replaced fuel lines, vacuum lines, coil, spark plug, added 12v outlet for gps, changed all the fluids, and lock tite on all the critical bolts. Just have to fine tune the carb and get the tags and insurance. The blue one is for my wife and she road it around the neighborhood for the first time last night. Now I need to start on mine. Our plan is to put them in a trailer and head to Utah for three weeks! Hope to get some miles on them and work out any bugs before then. We are very excited!

If only more people checked there valves.....god only knows how big the gap was new because they usually close up with some miles on em! What is the gap supposed to be on a 150cc?

There is actually a small hole in the intake I think I can use. This will allow it to get pulled back into the engine and burned off.... And it will be easy to clean....

Thanks for all the great information. Instead of the air box how about straight to the intake manifold? would this work? On a side note.... what is the expected RPM at full throttle? And for tuning the carb is a good starting point 2.5 turns out? I am ready to tune the carb after doing everything else on the PDI.

do not cap the vent leave it open to the air, if you cap it, it will build pressure and bad things will happen. Cap the other two put a hose on the valve cover vent the second circle and route it toward the bottom of the scoot, leave it open. Thanks!

I did notice the few places (2?) that had the kit wanted something like $25 for it. Ouch.... I emailed rider wholesales to see if I can pay with the credit card. They are about 1.5hrs from where I live... A little too far to drive for one part.

Any reason I can't seem to locate this item in stock? Is it no longer available? "Prima Magnetic Oil Drain Kit"

I found this today and found it to be interesting, I have not seen it elsewhere. It is a document provided to the NHTSA from Taotao on the VIN number decoding. With this you can decipher the VIN to determine make, model, engine displacement, etc. Last updated in May 2013 ftp.nhtsa.dot.gov/mfrmail/ORG8634.pdfMaybe the moderators can download it and post it in the correct place.

I'd say none of your upgrades are a necessity. I've found the TaoTao CDI's to be working better than an aftermarket CDI, and on most scoots I have at least 2k troublefree miles on, and on some almost double that. That is great to know! Since we will be traveling I may pick up an extra OE CDI and coil since they are not expensive, just to have one on hand.
