dang tempting at that price, even on my freshly built tao. I found my Naraku crank for $70 which was the only reason I didn't spring for the Hoca.

My buddy asked me why I didnt just hit the engine kill button. It just happened too fast and I didn't even think about it. Live and learn I guess. Definitely taking it easy on steep hills from now on.

worth mentioning, while I was scouring the interweb trying to locate a replacement pin, I came across several warning about tightening the tao tao brake pins. Most of them were on atv forums but same exact issue. No luck locating a oem replacement, but I think my redesign is better anyways. Seriously doublt the cotter pin will ever just fall out. Probably gonna get one more and do them both that way.

Man I feel like the scooter gods are out to get me; the wheelie accident a few weeks ago and now this. I had just finished installling the naraku hs variator and took it out for a speed test. Afterwards, while coasting up to an intersection I squeeze both brakes and the front lever is completely limp! Luckily the rear drum did the job the rest of the way home. Guess it's my fault for not catching it on my PDI. Scoot has 1400km on the clock. It lost one brake pin and one pad. I actually walked up and down that street hoping I could find them.....FAIL! I ended modifying a set of motorcycle pads from Advanced auto to fit and replaced the missing threaded pin with one I could use a cotter pin on.

I was thinking, because, the stock engine is not strong enough to do a wheelie... Guess I should fill out a signature. It's got the Naraku 52.4mm kit, but I did the 16/50 gear kit today which toned down the torque a bit.

I'm about 160. Always wanted to try a small wheelie, but definitely not by accident or in the middle of heavy traffic.

I'm a working student. Usually leave work at 5 and fight rush hour traffic to get my class on the other side of town by 6. On this particular day I had to stop by my apartment first which put me about 15 minutes behind schedule. Then I realized I needed to stop for gas. Since I hadn't had lunch, I went in for a snack and can you believe the power goes out?! By the time it kicked back on and I paid I was super late. So I leave there and get back on my normal route which takes me up a pretty steep hill to a four way stop. When It's my turn to go i give it a pretty good amount of throttle and before I knew it the front end was at about 75 degrees off the ground. I slid off the back landing on my feet but still holding on. This caused me to twist the throttle even more! At that point it was a full degrees riding on the spoiler. It turned to my right side and we did maybe two circles before I finally let go. Luckily I was unharmed. The scoot suffered a shattered tail lens and spoiler. Also a few scratches on the side panels and exhaust, but overall not bad. Honestly, I all I could do was laugh about it. Two nice ladies stopped to make sure I was alright. One guy shouted his approval from his car. After gathering the few things that fell out of the cup holder/storage area and checking the bike over, I jumped back on and went to class. Got there about 20 minutes late. 90cc bbk + steep hill + high throttle = bad day!
