I just worked on an actual Moped recently. The sticker on the tank - mixed gas and oil, no separate tanks, said 10w-40 or two stroke oil. It turns out that you can use normal engine oil - 10w-40, or two stoke, per the Puch recommendations. I used 2T oil, but forgot about a lead additive since the bike was from 1978, no UNleaded gas allowed.
I guess in a pinch you can use motor oil in a no mix system, but than how would you get the ratio correct?

The ebay seller responded the bulb is a 50/50, the picture is inaccurate.

The description says 50/50, but the printing on the bulb says 35/35. The photo could be wrong. I sent a message to the seller to ask about the 50/50 vs 35/35 The amazon bulb with the silver tip, I would avoid. I went from the 18/18 BA20D to a 35/35 BA20D, then to an H4 45/45, but it had a black tip that caused a huge shadow.
Now I have an HID 6000K Bi-Xenon. (And an upgraded charging system) and the temperature has not got too hot to put bare hands on the plastic lens.
I may try the 50/50 in my other scooter before I upgrade it to HID.

"If you are a moped operator, you must follow the same traffic rules as other motor vehicle operators. A moped is a two- or three-wheeled vehicle with a motor not exceeding 100cc engine displacement. The moped must have a power drive system that does not require shifting gears and cannot have a top speed exceeding 30 mph on level surfaces." click here for the urlI dont see 2hp, but still up to 100cc but top end less than 30.

You are missing a bolt for your center stand - it is missing in pictures 9 and 10.
Is the spark plug in the center of the top of the head? That looks like a 2 stroke exhaust. I think the intake and the exhaust are both low on the cylinder, - two stroke style.

I've only seen that happen one time. I have ad to wait in line to get gas -in whichever vehicle- and have seen the customer ahead of me drain the hose, lifting and shaking it, but when I set the pump, I had no issue, the system fills the hose when the counters gets set to $000.00. Even filling the suburban at a prepay pump, where it stopped at $75 so I had to initiate a new sale to get the next $40 or whatever to fill it, I drained the hose at the first cut off and had no phantom charges when I started the second sale.

Welcome, Sounds like a sweet deal. I am all for EFI. But have not worked with an OEM EFI scooter. A reference I spotted while Googleing Hammerhead La Vita was that they may be related to Adly now, which may help as a source for information/parts. pdf owners manual here www.hammerheadoffroad.com/support/LaVita150.pdf

Mine fills too fast to set it and stand back. I look in the full hole - usually with either sun/safety glasses or even my helmet visor down in case of a big splash-back. 2 gallons in the Xingyue, 1.8 or something in the Znen. 42 in the suburban, 36 in one van, 32 in the other van. On these, I do set the latch to pump and then I clean every window and light and the mirrors, and check the oil. I haven't filled either of the vans for less than $100. I usually get fairly low hoping for a dip in prices. But it never fails, the price will drop the day after I fill it up. I always drain my hose too. At a stop in Ohio the pump was in the process of going to zero and then it stopped at $0.05 and the attendant couldn't fix it, he said it was from the previous customer draining the hose. We left and found another gas station.

I write software to do statistical analysis for a living and I can't turn that off at home. I can't even seem to make an excel formula that works }= I think we highjacked this thread I don't track things I should, but I've started to be more diligent with my smartphone app TripLog - GPS Mileage. No doubt a stock higher displacement stronger scooter would get better all around fuel economy. With 8hp, I run WOT nearly 100% and get as low as 48mpg (lots of fill-up spillage at one gas station), and as high as 69.8 (which seemed like everywhere I went I had traffic keeping my speeds down). A Kymco People 300i -(on eBay again) would stomp my Xingyue like Bruce Lee on Chuck Norris.

Many pumps can be varied on the rate of flow, not counting where you set the latch to hold the valve open. Usually I just keep the flow slow, and I'm good. But that day at the KwikTrip, it seemed there was only ON or OFF. I couldn't manipulate the flow. I also notice at busy stations, especially if there is a customer on the other side of the pump, maybe clicking on and off like topping their tank, will cause the flow rates to vary on my side too. That KwikTrip is a busy place, and normally I do not have trouble there. That bar may be there just to make sure you have to manually watch the level and not just set it on automatic. Here is a picture of what it is like, not all are the same, this one doesn't look U shaped www.amazon.com/50cc-4-stroke-Scooter-Gas-Tank/dp/B0072IQ7K0

When I started scooting, I was driving a suburban that never got better than 8mpg, downhill with a tailwind! Someone had replaced the 5.7liter with a 5.0, and used the 5.7 injectors - that deliver something like 30% more fuel. I finally put in a set of correct injectors when I figured out the problem, and added the missing 02 sensor, but came across the van so the suburban is parked forever. Riding the scooter that first season saved me a ton on fuel, so I felt richer. Someday I should just finish my motorcycle project.

Just last week I filled up at a KwikTrip, and the pressure was so great that my calculated MPG was below 50! far too much spillage. I asked if they got new pump motors or something, and the lady claimed the pressure was changing due to the tanker delivering gas... except he had only just pulled in and not even got out of the cab yet!
After a couple days (to let the fuel level get a bit lower in the tank), I attacked that bar - a U shaped bit of metal to detour fuel back into the air. I started out to just bend it, but found I could break it without much effort. Now there is no bar, and the next fill-up was without a splash!

I like to tinker, Like EFI, dislike carbs, and original items that need to be replaced may as well get upgraded (exhaust, charging system). I don't get to ride all year. 40F and raining this morning, so I took the van. If it were 40 and not raining I would have ridden.
