[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]Remember bad electronics hate heat, and seem to heal when cooled down.

[replyingto=ridecheap]ridecheap[/replyingto]ridecheap; I read your post on your mods. I have been looking for the 15 gram sliders but can't find them. I looked on the Dr Pulley site. I am assuming you have the Yamaha style engine. What is the advantage of the 18 coil magneto? How is it custom?

[replyingto=quail]quail[/replyingto]well that was a plan . The rear M/C uses a larger spool valve and the cups are larger also. It is a total shame we have never found a rebuild kit for these.

[replyingto=alleyoop]alleyoop[/replyingto]Like the rest it is not the right size. Do you happen to know how many amps the fan should draw? When my fan runs id drops the charging voltage to 8 volts, the lights dim to dangerous.

What size and weight sliders do I need for my 2008 mc54-250b? I read 15 grams was the best but I don't know the size. I want to buy them so I can take it apart and put it back together the same day.

OK. So I put 200+ miles on it last week-end. It has to have the smoothest ride of anything on the road. I rode a tank of gas out and my butt and my beat-up back did not care. I never feel any bike has enough power after riding a Honda cbr1100. It corners nice. Has nice lights. Loves to run 75-80 no matter what the signs say. It handles the interstate better than my Vulcan and Honda did. Feels very well made. Has a better 0-60 time than my CB750. It never feels heavy, that always seems strange to me.
But... what is with the engine braking the bike down to 7 mph? You have to hold the throttle all the time or you go into "we are now quickly slowing down" mode. If I switch to manual and up shift to 6th, it will seem like it is coasting somewhat. I like to let go of the throttle without getting thrown into the w/Shield. If they could fix that problem the mileage would go up a lot. The electric w/shield is made for 4 ft tall people, you can raise it from so very low to plain old LOW.

[replyingto=prodigit]prodigit[/replyingto]I am not sorry I bought it, and I know it is the best scoot out there. It feels like a snowmobile on fresh snow, throttle response and ride. It even sounds the same. The manual shift on this bike is interesting and it makes it a better bike. It seems strange to downshift a scooter though. It corners very well and the Bridgestones will let you grind the kickstand off her if you wish. If the tire slips she will smoke that tire from a stop. You don't feel the road, the wind is not tearing your arms off, and you have to buy bugs if you want them in your teeth. I love to sail and this bike reminds me of my first motor boat, " well shes wide open...now what.

[replyingto=quail]quail[/replyingto]It almost drives itself. It feels like ,"if you fell off it would not really affect the bike a lot". My wife loves the comfort of the rear seat. she told me she could sit there for hours without discomfort. The Roketa is good for an hour or so before she wants off. I guess what I am saying is," I wanted a scooter because my wife's Roketa is a blast to ride. Maybe it's the thrill of near death due to cheap parts traveling 65 MPH. What I bought was a Rolls Royce. As nice as it is , it's no MGA. I think the biggest part of me wishes I would have bought a used one, took the rest of the money and bought a used motorcycle.
