You are correct, that is a Lean condition and you need to richen it up.  |

Nope, the original air box is busted up pretty badly and it's what has caused me lean problems to begin with. That's what forced me to order a performance filter as a "cheap replacement" but then the original filter got so dirty that I started running rich so I bought a new one which was one size too big so I was running lean again. Once I got that straightened out the filter broke anyway and I started running lean again. So I ordered a UNI filter and immediately did my plug chop with it; still lean. With heavy symptoms of running lean. With a sock over the filter all the symptoms are gone with a #  jet. Thanks Leo. Not sure if you're talking about the UNI filter material that slips over the uni filter, or an actual sock, which I used. I made sure not to tighten it "too much" this time as my last filter broke from apparently tightening it too much. Turns out it was just a wee bit too loose. I'll try to do as you say and make the spring work like that. |

You've tried restricting the air box by taping the snorkel holes? Originally I couldn't get full throttle with my 63cc unless two snorkel holes were plugged up... Otherwise I have no idea how to help, sorry  |

Technically not even street legal, but I drove it to the store almost every day. lol.
Now I'm gonna get my jets tomorrow and I won't even get to ride my scooter to do a plug chop, this next uni filter is getting screwed on extra tight t_t

ARGHH! I sometimes just have the worst of luck! My air filter fell off. I think it's due to having that sock on it, it might've rubbed against the tire or something else, but in any case it's gone now! I had that filter less than a month and now it's gone! Time to order a new one... Is anything better than UNI? |
