[replyingto=domindart]domindart[/replyingto]That certainly sounds like a cool hobby. If only I had a truck or something to carry them in. That has been the deciding factor in whether or not I get another scooter on more than one occasion. There are tons of listings on craigslist this season and I'd love to get another scooter to tinker on and then resell it, but alas I have no other vehicle with which to transport any scooters.
Maybe one day...

[replyingto=david3336]david3336[/replyingto]Alright, sorry, you said new filter so I assumed that meant performance filter, Have you checked your variator weights? How many miles on the scoot? The variator rollers could possibly have become sliders if there's a lot of miles. I believe the stock 150s run lean with their jet size, you may want to check what jet size you currently have and upjet a size or two if its too low.

[replyingto=david3336]david3336[/replyingto]What are your jets at? I don't have a 150, but I know that for a 50 you need to up jet with a performance filter.

The lady I sold it to was a cycle buff, she loves motorcycles and scooters of all shapes and sizes. I showed the lady my Honda Zook and you should've seen the look on her face after I told her it was from 1990 and I started it with one kick. ;D She rode the DiBlasi down the road and back and it was so fun she bought it on the spot. Then I told her about all the stuff I've done to my scooter, ending the list with my recent big bore kit and revving my engine a bit. After that she insisted that I become a scooter mechanic and said that because of my knack for scooters I should open up shop and go scootering around upgrading people's scooters. She went on for 15 minutes about this plan she insisted on. She then pulled a big container full of change from the car and said "Here, I like you, take this to menards or something and buy a sign and put it in your yard" it was her daughter's change, and I insisted she take the money back, but she refused to take it back and told me to buy a sign. I spend only six months on this forum and now this is the reaction I get from people...

Woohoo! I just sold my first scooter! My foldable DiBlasi is no longer part of my collection~! Happy day! And it's my mom's birthday so now I can afford a good present for her! ;D I owe it all to you guys and my uncle Scott for all the information about fixing scooters. Couldn't have done it without you all!

I got someone interested in buying the DiBlasi! She's so interested that she's driving an hour and a half all the way from Naperville to look at it. Yay, craigslist! Does $325 sound fair?

[replyingto=kyle401]kyle401[/replyingto]That should work too, but I use 10w40 Castrol GTX. I finally found a place that sells 10w40 motorcycle oil near me (the other places only sell that heavier stuff, like 20w50, etc.) so I'll be switching to that in about 20 miles.

So is it a 150cc variator? Or will it fit a different 50cc? I want a new variator, it's just I'm not sure if yours will fit my scooter or not. Could you give measurements? Measurements may help others decide as well.
Best of luck to ya!
