Bionic did you say bionic rockynv ? So that was what Lee majors really was a big foot in disguise? I just never knew? Man if you look really close you can actually see the resemblance! On another note it has been discovered that the males sometimes have makeshift sex dolls in the woods as pictured here. What is the world coming too! JR

Really? With no keys? Or title? (for mine, anyway...) I thought to call the 2 shops in town that fix/repair/sell 50cc scooters (in case someone calls and says "yeah, I lost all my keys...what can I do?" - didn't think of pawn shops... Well, in case they are not found, I found this - treasure.craigslist.org/mcy/5652977376.html - and this - treasure.craigslist.org/mcy/5678601912.html - on my local Craigslist...first one 10-inch wheels, a bit smaller frame than my Baccio, throttle cable to be replaced Monday, so I'll ride it Tuesday with my wife - it might have a too-low weight capacity - the second one has quite a few miles... But - I want my scooter (and my son's e-bike) back!!! You would be surprised to know what even a pawn shop will buy with neither keys or title. Key's is no big deal strip it down and buy a new key lock and you're ready to go. If it is a 50cc then like in my state you don't need a title to even ride it or tags, not required of a 50cc. Laws vary on pawn shops for instance years ago I had a work truck broke into in Kilgore Tx and they stole all together over $1000 worth of tools along with a Honda generator. I found every single item 2 days later at a pawn shop. Called the law and presented them with the poof that the items in the shop were mine. They did work to find out who brought the items in from the pawn shop owner but would not make him release the stolen items. Why? In the state of Texas if one claims that the pawn dealer has stolen goods in their store they must prove the pawn dealer knew beyond a shadow of a doubt he was buying stolen goods. How you going to do that? The law in Texas protects the pawn dealer and basically gives him a license to buy stolen property! The dealer did tell me he would sell me my own property back and at a cheap price and I told him and the law there to stick it where the sun doesn't shine. Different in Arkansas, you find items in a pawn shop, prove they are yours the pawn dealer must surrender them and the go after the thief who he bought them from, makes pawn dealers think twice about what they buy and don't buy. If they turn the thief in and they are caught then the thief must make restitution to the pawn owner along with pay for his crime. Like I said different states different laws. JR

When the forum Scootdawg forum started having issues with people not getting along and the added problems with the original owner not coming around to either keep things in order of give moderators the powers to properly run the forum other forums branched off from it. Scooter Doc was first followed by the Scooter Professor. Finally when the owner of Scootdawg tried to sell the forum the server provider Proboards stepped in and said that was a No No and took away the owners rights to operate the forum and would not grant ownership to any other person effectively making Scootdawg's other mods powerless to be able to run the forum properly. When this happened the other Admin Doug and I formed It's the Ride for old Scootdawg members and new people to join. While some people belong to all 3 forums, others have their favorite place and crowd to hang out with and that's ok too. We welcome all at every forum and are friends with everyone including the great people at 49cc Scoot and Scooter Rebels too. JR I will say its a labor of love !!!!!!!!!!!!! There is never ending work here, I think you guys are doing a fine job !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! John Thanks John

Thanks JR for the reply and a perfectly understandable explanation. So, presumably it's acceptable to post the exact same question on all 3 forums which would be 3 times more helpful since the (technical) question would go out to that many more individuals. I have posted a tech question on Scooter Doc but will also post the same question on here and Scooter Professor. Thanks again. In theory that is correct because some members only frequent one forum and not all of them. I usually only answer on one forum on tech issues because sometimes advice from other forums I may have not read and someone may have already gave the same answer that I would have but in your case no one has so I answered the same on all 3 forums. I take care of all 3 and there are great members on all of them who can steer you in the right direction. JR

tscoot When you say flasher switch are you talking about the little switch on the left hand switch assembly that is spring loaded and turns off when released? If so this is called by the Chinese as a passing switch that when pressed gives 12Vdc from the battery to make the high beams only get brighter. The idea is to make the vehicle in front of you notice the brighter light so they see you are coming around them. Since you have said you have checked the bulbs and connections we now have got to start looking for voltage along with any possible bad ground issues. Question did this happen when you were riding down the road all of a sudden or did you just start it up and find it that way? Reason I ask is a bad ground or still even a bad connection is the number one reason if it just did this all of a sudden riding down the road. So let's do this I need you to start the scooter and take a volt meter and take a voltage reading on the battery with the scooter idling. Then take a reading with it revved up to say 5k rpm or so. Why do this? This tells me if the stator and R/R are good provided there are no bad connections here. If you tell me I've got good voltage at idle and even better with it revved up then we know that we do indeed have a gremlin other than a bad stator or R/R. If this is the linhai then you should not have a fuse box and the head/tail light circuit along with the instrument panel lights are on the same circuit. Get the battery readings and get back to me and we'll go from there. JR
