Just curious as to what the people on the forum wear to protect the lower half of your bodies? As I wear a uniform for work, its dickies to and from work. When not going to and from work I'll wear jeans. As always it's an armored jacket, modular helmet, gloves and boots on the rest of me. Been thinking of getting a pair of armored jeans for riding but not looking to break the bank. Been looking on Revzilla and Motorcycle Superstore but prices are pushing $200 and up for a good pair. Seen some around $100 but those have kevlar sewn in and not removable armor. So my question is what do we all wear and how comfy is it. Nothing scares me more than seeing a youngster ( I'm pushing 50 ) riding in shorts, a tank top and sneakers. Or the guy in full race leathers and his girlfriend on the back in shorts and a windbreaker. As always stay safe out there.

I'm in the same boat. Use to ride with some motorcycle over pants that saved my literally. Those are long gone and now that i'm riding again everything I've looked at is 140 and above. I like armored jeans but am thinking textile again like AGV Sport Telluride H2O Vented Pants

Defender is one example that lacks a foam armor insert to absorb some of the initial knee shattering "whack"! Include Jafrum in your research.

Mftic - I looked at those pants and those would probably fit what I'm looking for and for the most part match my jacket.
wheelbender - except for back and forth to work I also wear regular jeans. I'm just looking for a little something more.

I wait for a sale at Cycle Gear and pickup their Kevlar Level 3 Armored Iron Workers Jeans or Cargo Pants for $69 to $79 or When Leather UP is having a sale their Xelement Level 3 Armored Over Pants for $39. I never ride without one or the other. Leather up also has Kevlar Jeans with Level 3 Armor for less but since the jeans/cargo pants are something I would wear all day long I picked them up from Cycle Gear since they have 2 Brick and Mortar stores in my area.

I picked up a pair of use Bohn pants for less than $100 off Ebay - They fit under your jeans and are comfortable.

I'm looking at maybe a set of heavy Dickies overalls, but even used they are like 100 bucks, I have one of their jackets that I wear all the time, even in hot weather, really well made tough jacket, that I wear a reflective vest over. It's going to be getting cooler soon so I need something lined, that I can also wear at work.

I wish I had money for literal fancy pants 😋 check out the cost of non skin grafts vs. skin grafts, the pants are cheap, going to get some myself here , people laugh at me for wearing full gear on a scooter, I've seen pictures of a guy who came off of a Harley at 25, half helmet, ripped his jaw off. Gear up, it doesn't matter what you ride, we are surrounded by brain dead drivers

I use these under my jeans, I have them on all the time, is not uncomfortable, my wife uses them over her pants or under her skirt and take them off when she gets off the bike, www.amazon.com/dp/B01LMU22PW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_f6lYzbJPDQH4Qwe also wear knee and shin protectors and boots, I have had 2 hard spills on a scooter, and several stupid ones on motorcycle (like having to brake hard at low speed to avoid running over a kamikaze pedestrian and falling off the bike because of inertia and the bike being heavy). A scooter is more than capable of getting you in troubles and causing you serious injuries, I talk from experience, you can't do much to avoid a broken bone, but with full gear you can avoid road rash all together, I would rather nurse a broken bone than losing my hip or butt skin on the pavement, road rash is not fun, even a small stupid spill can give you road rash.

Fabric disintegrate in contact with pavement, the only things that work to protect from road rash are metal, thick plastic, kevlar and thick leather.

You can still get the old style really heavy ones, but just not in a box store, I can tell you the Levis I grew up with are not the ones they sell today, I survived many mini bike crashes with the old ones, never tore them up, the new ones, tripped over a rock, fell and the knee tore out, complete china junk

in my case my carhart is the dark blue canvas with the blanket lining, incredibly tough jackets, I'm thinking of some bohn Armour to wear under it. If you look for one look for the older used ones, i understand some are now made overseas and the quality has suffered. these are lifetime jackets, you can pass these down to your kids

ricardoguitars I'm liking the looks of Hero pants in your link. Are they warm under your pants and would they be uncomfortable to wear all day at work? The summers here in Buffalo can be a bit humid as we are right on the lake and reach up to 90F on a good day. I work outside as a delivery driver for a food distributor and do a lot of physical work. Or would you suggest taking them off when I get to work? If that's the case I could just get armored pants and change at work and save these for my days off.
