Sputtering

After starting and waiting for the enriched to shut off I give my scooter a little more gas to take off. When I hit about 75-100% of throttle there is a sputtering/ odd buzzing sound which stays for a few seconds then stops. After that there is usually no more issue with the scooter and it runs well. I am just curious what could be causing the sound and shudder.

To find out what the motor needs more or less fuel try this trick of the trade:
Bring it up to where it starts to act up and BACK OFF THE THROTTLE about 1/4 of an INCH AND HOLD IT THERE:
a. If the motor speeds up it is LEAN.
b. If the motor stumbles and or settles down it is RICH.
