Is that why some of the worst, the craziest, road raging lead-foots I've had the displeasure of meeting, (obviously throughly enjoying full blown Psychosis) have been driving Minivans? Ah... I think it's because so many of those folks you run into (while they're trying to run into you) are a special, and unusual sub-species...... Soccer Moms who make great money, but hate their jobs, aren't lesbians, yet hate men, are getting older, but despise old age and always get their way, then hate the results. It short-circuits the mind, and causes recurring nail-fungus. There are only TWO obvious answers to their frustration. Run for political office, OR squash some poor bozo on a scooter!Of course! Since a successful run for the Senate is likely to create even MORE frustration, we scooter-jockeys end up as therapy. BINGO! Problem solved! I'm pretty sure I'm right. After all, I've watched "Little Big Man" several times, and am a real fan of "Old Lodgeskins"... Therefore, I understand the crazy minivan driver, and see the humanity of it. WE are the BUFFALO. THEY are the BUFFALO-HUNTERS, brought to our grasslands in the Iron Horse they call MiniVan... Yup. That's GOTTA be it...Leo (watching my "six") in Texas PS: I'm just having some FUN here! Please, NO nasty responses.

Gotta ask, Jarlaxle--did the back door's inside handle quit working on your Fairmont? Ours did, met two other folks whose Fairmont wagons had the same failure.
Leo, just warnin' ya', while I'm neither a mom nor a soccer-jockey, I DO drive a "soccer mom" Taurus wagon. So you just watch that phraseology boy-ee-boy! ;D
Personally I've never heard anything against my scoot. I was told once that I probably shouldn't join the ride but was welcome at the dinner afterwards, but I think that was as much due to my inexperience as my ride. The Am Legion riders all want me to join their rides this year. So no scooter-bias there!

I never used them...if I opened the back doors, it was almost always from outside. Did have the tailgate hit me in the melon the first day I had it, though.
And the second day I had it, I replaced the tailgate lift struts!

Ah, the biting liftgate. I have that with the Taurus. I just use a broom to prop it up. A bit scary right now with the bumper cover all shattered.
He bites with his hood, too. Almost got my mech, and I guess came darn close to getting the fingers of one of his under-mechs. They have a note in his file--car bites! And they use a "muzzle" to keep the hood open!
I've told them, they fix the hood for themselves, and I'll pay for the liftgate. Mech's thinking about it. Of course right now more important is finding a rear bumper/cover. SIGH!

Just a good cheap pair of vice grips from HF works great. Easy to store and makes the hatch adjustable.... No more getting your head bitten off.
