My scoot needs new rims and tires. The ones on there both disc brake equipped and are 12 x 4.00 but I cannot find these rims or tires... Anyone have any idea if I can substitute another size or if they know where to get these elusive things?

Have you ever ordered from that site? I tried once and they held my order for 2 months claiming they were waiting to restock but I had to go through paypal to get my money back when it didn't come after 3 months... Also those rims are 12x2.5

Parts For Scooters is a rather great supplier of quality parts and such. I have ordered from them several time in the past, and will again too. They seemed real friendly, and my order was shipped and received fast. Even though they are a good source of parts and supplies, they operate on the same principal as any other business. Supply, and demand. Now, it doesn't matter how hard we demand a part, if their suppliers have stopped producing or shipping, then they can't pull one out if thin air. I have had one problem out of more than a dozen orders, and they fixed that, and paid for return postage, and shipped the new part on their dime. I understand that you ordered something and waited a long period, but that's probably because they were waiting on that item as well. The fly by night companies that make and distribute the parts for these bikes are the ones at fault. Say you run a garage, you take in a car to change the ECU. Now, you order the ECU from your guy, who can't find one, so you go order it from some one else, then someone else, finally the guy that owns the car gets pi$$y with you, even though it's not technically your fault. Same principal. If you have a business, you shouldn't offer something that you can't deliver, if you took your customer's money and you are not able to ship the product for whatever reason, it is your fault, you can't blame your suppliers, you where the one offering the product and taking orders, not them.

nI didn't mean for this thread to change into a fire thread about suppliers. I think there's another board for that, haha!
Yeah these rims and tires are like... eskimos... they gotta be around but the landscape is white, and they live in white igloos, so very hard to find... lol
Has anyone ever substituted a 12x3.5 rim and tire set in place of the 12x4? My main concern is if the shocks and disc brakes would still be able to line up correctly and functions properly with the different sized rims or if they would just fail horribly...

That's because the links were not posted correctly and are broken violating security trying to get into areas of the secure site that are not allowed to the public. Just browse their site from the good links I provided and start a chat or email exchange with Matt about what your needs and expectations are.

I don't try to bypass my security and it happens just trying to go to the home page. I'm guessing my rims are in actuality 3.5 rims not 4

Lain....my scooter has disc brakes on both ends, and the same 12" x 3.5" wheel on the rear, as yours does. However my front one is stamped 12" x 2.75", so you better check both of yours again before ordering.

This sounds like it was more of a PayPal issue than it was with us unfortunately. I'm not a huge fan of PalPal personally for payment processing... sometimes I think they make this harder than it needs to be. Feel free to give me a call, shoot me an email here at the office or drop a chat on the website and ask for me and I'll do my best to help you out. 866-478-8700 or matt@partsforscooters.com Matt

My rims are the same as yours, 2.75 front, 3.50 rear, both disc brake equipped. Do the rims come with bearings installed already or do you need to order those and the discs separate?

I didn't order any rims. They are the ones that came on it from the factory. My scooter is a Jonway, Milan style, (as in Lance Milan), or Znen model 150T-F, or Roketa MC-65-150, or the Motorino Riviera at Valley Scooters. Anyone who sells these should have wheels for their scooters. They are all three spoke, 12" aluminum, disc brake, wheels. This link is a scoot just like mine....in fact... bought mine from this site 4+ years ago. I know they carry parts for the machines they sell. You'll have to ask the seller you go with, about the bearings.
